    Specialist Design and CI

    Purpose of Job

    • Problem solving and opportunity generation: utilisation of various methodologies to develop sound alternatives to a solution; use sound arguments and criteria to select an optimal solution.
    • Knowledge of the different project /initiative governance models and requirements in the Group (i.e. Gate Reviews, VAR)
    • Understanding of different project execution methodologies as used in Sasol
    • Business Case development and financial modelling
    • Data analysis and modelling: understanding and demonstrated ability on data analysis and using modelling techniques to solve complex problems
    • Demonstrated understanding of agile principles.
    • Maximise and sustain business value by defining and executing Supply Chain design and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Provision of expertise, best practices, and methodologies / tools to execute continuous improvement and design initiatives.
    • Involved in project teams as a contributing subject matter expert on CI and Design methodologies and/or functional expertise.
    • Assist in the design integrated supply chain solutions for new opportunities and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
    • Business Process improvement to ensure processes are streamlined and effective, and reflective of the current operating model.
    • Enable data driven analysis and decision making through specialised data analysis and modelling: quantify, validate and integrate qualitative data with quantitative data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
    • Provide insight on developing trends and best practices in the Procurement space through benchmarking and best practice analysis: key trends enabling innovation and improvement.
    • Develop business cases based on detailed techno-economic evaluations.

    Formal Education

    • University Bachelors Degree

    Min Experience

    • Experience: 6+ relevant years
