    Group Clinical Pharmacy Manager

    The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical pharmacy services within the Clinix Group by ensuring that the quality standards, financial objectives, legislative compliance and clinical criteria are achieved to the required standards.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Pharm Degree and a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy.
    • Current Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist.
    • Five (5) years’ experience as a pharmacist (post internship) of which two (2) years must be in Clinical Pharmacy inclusive of Antibiotic Stewardship, Pharmacovigilance, and general Rational Medicine Use.
    • A broad experience in the development and maintenance of pharmaceutical formulary.
    • Experience in Pharmaceutical Policy and Planning will be an added advantage.
    • Experience in the development and maintenance of medicine data systems.
    • Pharmaceutical product knowledge.
    • Relevant clinical knowledge and experience in critical outputs.
    • Computer proficiency (MS Office).
    • Knowledge of Bluebird would be an advantage.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Participate in the incident investigation in the pharmacy and wards, where possible, to identify root causes and corrective action.
    • Develop and monitor all quality initiatives as identified.
    • Oversee the review of all ICU prescriptions and monitor all ICU and ward patients to ensure effective and safe drug therapy and provide feedback and advice to healthcare team regarding potential problems.
    • Report on the Management of Antimicrobials.
    • Assist in the training of hospital clinical pharmacists to comply with all legal, professional and procedural requirements pertaining to dispensing of prescriptions.
    • Development of required tools and protocols for effective and efficient management of essential medicines by prescribers, dispensers, and end users inclusive of rational medicine use, pharmacovigilance and antimicrobial stewardship.
    • Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Clinix Health Group medicine formulary.
    • Be a champion of pharmacist’s Operational Research.
    • Ensure compliance with SAPC, DOH and CHG legal and professional standards.
    • Implement components of antimicrobial stewardship program as identified.
    • Provide guidance to Clinix Health Group institutional pharmacies on Antimicrobial Stewardship and Pharmacovigilance.
    • Oversight of Clinical Pharmacy use across the Clinix Health Group using standard tools.
    • Participation in Group Clinical Risk Management meetings.
    • Participate in achieving Group financial cost-containment measures relating to pharmacy.
    • Participate in the active management of cost of sales of pharmaceuticals.
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders on the implementation and monitoring adherence to the formulary.

    Customer Experience Officer - Johannesburg

    Job Summary:

    As Customer Experienced Officer, take responsibility to plan, coordinate and ensure all functions at the hospital are performed in a manner that optimises patient and staff experience.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma: Marketing or healthcare related.
    • 3 – 5 years in a health care environment.
    • Experience as a customer experience specialist is advantageous.
    • Computer proficiency.

     Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Implement approved frameworks and processes in which all patient experience initiatives will be deployed in the Hospital.
    • Apply and utilize patient experience performance standards and deploy their respective measurements processes.
    • Utilization of patient experience index data (from various CHG sources) to improve patient experience.
    • Under the leadership of the hospital manager and other senior managers, manage the overall patient experience within the hospital.
    • Develop and manage patient journey campaigns.
    • Creation or customization (based on hospital need) of patient education materials including brochures, pamphlets and videos.
    • Assist in the management of the flow of patients through various departments of the hospital to ensure they are seen or attended to in time by the appropriate health practitioners.
    • Execute all customer experience tasks within established frameworks and policies to promote ‘one Clinix’ experience across all hospitals.
    • Identifies and presents trends that might be addressed to improve quality and patient experience.
    • Manages the customization of customer experience (including hospital employees) initiatives and ensures the implementation thereof.
    • Responsible for the coordination and execution of staff-related activities aimed at increasing satisfaction (including but not limited to, Health Day coordination, Staff wellness, etc.).
    • Supports staff to serve as liaisons between patients, healthcare workers and families.
    • Ensure timeous resolution of stakeholder queries and complaints and take ownership of issues.

    Enrolled Nurse Theatre X1

    Job Summary:

    As Enrolled Nurse, to take responsibility for both direct and indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients, and to function under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse, according to the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12.
    • Enrolled Nursing qualification.
    • Current registration with South African Nursing Council.
    • BLS qualification.
    • 3+ years’ relevant Nursing experience in Theatre.
    • Experience within a private hospital environment advantageous.
    • Computer proficiency advantageous.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Perform all duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards.
    • Adhere to the principles and standards of patient advocacy according to the SANC acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, patient rights and Responsibility charter, National Millennium Development goals and the responsibility of continuous professional development (CPD). Plan, organize, assess, and prioritize work for self to ensure efficient completion of tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
    • Drive quality of care adhering to work standards and establishing a safe, therapeutic, and clean environment for all stakeholders (patient, family, doctors, and staff) that is free from medico-legal hazards.
    • Document patient care services by accurately charting in patient and department records including progress on patients’ condition.
    • Drive a positive patient (customer) experience by putting patients first and deliver holistic customer-oriented service.
    • Adhere to the principles of Lean management (i.e., reducing wastage and unnecessary expenditure) without compromising patient care whilst ensuring minimal wastage.
    • Participate as a team member and contribute effectively towards achievement of unit goals.

    HR Officer

    To administer HR processes, plans and solutions plan in line with the needs and priorities of the Hospital. The incumbent is required to provide assistance to the HRBP in performing full generalist functions including recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and the supervision of hospital related administrative processes.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent level of education essential.
    • A 3-year Diploma in Human Resource Management or Equivalent NQF 7 qualifications.
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Human Resources Clerk/ Assistant.
    • Computer proficiency – Excel, SAP, Outlook, etc.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Perform administrative duties in support of the hospital HR function.
    • Advice the Hospital based HRBP on employee and hospital needs and concerns in relation to the HR department.
    • Assist in the monitoring of tactical HR strategies and plans, forecasting manpower requirements and developing relevant plans.
    • Collects, compiles and verifies data on human resource matters and provide integrated feedback to the Group HR Analyst for Group wide trend and pattern analysis.
    • Interprets and helps in the application of HR policies to hospital employees with queries and concerns.
    • Coordinates and supports the execution of recruitment and selection at the hospital.
    • Assists in the coaching and training of supervisors and managers in the administration and application of CHG’s approved performance management framework and system.
    • Collates information on identified gaps in employee performance based on completed performance appraisal reports and makes recommendations for remedial training and the subsequent re-evaluation of the employee’s performance post training.
    • Ensures that the extraction and encoding of employee information onto HRIS is accurately done.
    • Generates reports (i.e., new hires, agency staff, leave usage, time and attendance and training) from the HRIS as required by senior management at the hospital.
