Specialist: Network Architecture and Support (Multitenancy) at BCX

 Ensure that the highest level of customer experience is attained in accordance with global service quality standards. Leads the Access Network Architecture and Support function in support of Multi-tenancy and 3rd Party connectivity services to ensure that customer implementations are in line with relevant architecture, contractual obligations and service level agreements.  

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Maintains subject matter expertise in a wide range of technologies including large scale telecommunications networking, Internet Service Provider systems and facilities, systems integration, and IT/WAN network-related hardware
• Design and Support Multi-tenant and Multiple Service provider network design and implementations, including migration from legacy to next generation network solutions.
• Cultivate a culture of teamwork through collaboration, interaction and regular communication with relevant stakeholders within BCX.
• Identify and implement key strategic initiatives for improving customer experience, loyalty and satisfaction.
• Interfacing and enhancing strategic customer and multiple vendor relationships, ensure that client contractual expectations are met and attend to support-related queries that are escalated.
• Plan, support and co-ordinate Access Network Architecture.
• Prepare and present relevant management and customer reports.
• Create standards of work or standard processes and procedures to be executed by the operations teams.
• Address areas of network performance to maximise efficiencies and improve customer experience
• Management and mitigation of operational risks.
• Facilitate the identification and realisation of new business development opportunities within both current and potential clients.of performance excellence, employee engagement, innovation and transformation.

Functional Skills

• Network Architecture and Support, Wan and Lan Inter-networking Hands-on experience and certifications e.g. CCNP/DP, ITIL, Metro Ethernet Forum Certification, Network management, Operational Risk Management, Customer Experience Management, Budget and Cost Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Management

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree or Diploma (NQF 6) in Information Technology or related OR Grade 12.

Experience

• 5 Years experience minimum within the ICT/Telecommunications sector with specific track record in service provider network design, implementation and support. 
• 7 years’ experience for Grade 12.
