    Specialist Talent

    Job Purpose:

    • Reporting to the Talent Development Manager, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for providing specialist support for external recruitment initiatives across MSA. This will include (but is not limited to) actively sourcing candidates, screening and shortlisting applications, interviewing candidates, and recommending “best fit” external talent for placement in the business.

    Qualifications and Expertise:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or other related fields
    • Post graduate qualification would be advantageous
    • Valid South African driver’s license
    • Registration with HPCSA, SIOPSA or SABPP advantageous
       

    Job Experience:

    • 3 - 5 years related Talent Acquisition experience
       

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Review job profiles and compile job adverts
    • Partner with external service provide to ensure that roles are appropriately graded
    • Conduct briefing sessions with the relevant line managers to ascertain the recruitment needs.
    • Determine sourcing strategy for vacancies and provide input into talent attraction strategies
    • Advertise vacancies on HR Smart (in house e-recruitment system) and other approved external platforms.
    • Manage applications, CV screening, shortlisting and scheduling of interviews
    • Conduct informal virtual interviews with all shortlisted candidates
    • Present final shortlist to the relevant HR and Line manager for final interviews
    • Ensure all verification, background and reference checks are done timeously
    • Vendor and SLA management with external recruitment providers
    • Provide timeous feedback to all relevant parties involved (including shortlisted candidates)
    • Ensure talent acquisition tools (interview guides, success profiles, role profiles, etc.) enable the recruitment of ‘best-fit’ talent.
    • Ensuring all recruitment processes comply with company policies and/or related business rules.
    • Provide monthly recruitment progress updates and adhoc reporting
    • Provides input into orientation and onboarding experiences for new employees
    • Provides support for the annual PDR/PDP process; succession planning across MSA; and People Development projects.
       

    Job Competencies/ Attributes/Skills:

    • A proven track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s)
    • Experienced in MS Office Suite
    • SAP/ Success Factors experience advantageous
    • High level of organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects with competing time/resource demands
    • Effective communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills across various levels in the organisation
