    Supervisor

    Purpose of Role:

    • To ensure that production is maintained within budget and to specifications and in accordance with the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions. Adhere to safety and housekeeping as per company procedures and OHS Act requirements including its associated regulations.
    • Plan production and ensure OTD (on-time delivery) and Quality are met
    • Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
    • Drive Implementation of 6S, KAIZEN principles and LEAN approach.
    • Attend other operational meetings when required.
    • Green Area boards must be updated by COB of the 1st working day of the new month.
    • Liaise with internal & external customers and suppliers.
    • Submit month end reports for OPCO meetings.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • National Diploma in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
    • Minimum 7+ years in the specialty trade industry (Rubber Liner).
    • At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Computer literacy in MS Office Suite and SAP.
    • Technical qualification/training on Linatex range of rubber products.
    • Production/supervision certification.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
    • Project management skills (advantageous).
