    Supply Chain Manager - Randfontein

    Job Description    

    • Join our dynamic Culinary team in Randfontein as a Supply Chain Manager, playing a pivotal role in optimizing customer service, maximizing profitability, and facilitating innovation in the overall supply chain delivery. This is an opportunity to lead strategic planning, operationalize functional strategies, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, contributing to our purpose of “Growing What Matters”.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevant 3-year degree or Supply Chain Diploma
    • 7 years' experience in supply chain, with 3 years in a management position
    • Strong problem-solving skills for complex supply chain issues
    • Ability to interpret supply chain KPIs and translate them into actionable insights
    • Proactive identification and implementation of cost-reducing innovations

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Strategic Planning - Develop a forward supply plan for 12-24 months based on the demand plan, identifying capacity constraints and contributing to capex discussions. Provide input into the 5-year strategic planning process when required.
    • Functional Strategy into Action Operationalization - Co-create the supply chain strategy with other Senior Managers, facilitating integrated supply chain delivery. Ensure implementation of the agreed "Strategy into Action" plan through team targets, aligning cross-functionally.
    • Supply Planning of Finished Goods and Key Input Materials - Manage the supply planning process across all plants for the next 18-24 months, ensuring alignment with the demand plan. Facilitate delivery of the demand plan within the category's supply chain, optimizing customer service and profitability. Manage Rough Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP) to meet customer service targets while minimizing costs.
    • Short Term Supply Planning (Production Planning and MRP Call-off) - Drive detailed production planning, line scheduling, and materials requirements planning for the next 6-13 weeks.
    • Prioritize products in line with "planning for profit" mindset and maintain stock covers at agreed targets.
    • Stock Management (Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Packaging, and Ingredients) - Manage national stock covers, driving improvements in working capital and customer service. Proactively manage stock covers, considering capacity constraints, innovation, discontinuations, and stock variances.
    • Material Requirements Planning (Packaging & Ingredients) - Ensure the national material requirements plan meets forward packaging and ingredient requirements. Oversee packaging and ingredient stores, proposing orders for imported finished goods and/or raw and packaging materials.
    • Sales and Operations Planning - Provide input into company-wide demand planning, working closely with Supply Chain and Commercial teams. Consolidate the national view of Supply Planning for input into the S&OP.
    • Innovation/Discontinuation - Drive the delivery of innovation into the supply chain, managing planning, production planning, and the introduction/discontinuation of products. Manage costs associated with discontinuation and communicate updates to relevant business forums.
    • Food Solutions Contractual Agreements - Ensure contractual stock holding and service levels are met by actively supporting operations. Collaborate with customers to drive correct stock holding policies and innovation management.
    • Supply Chain Reporting and Projects- Measure national KPIs, issue monthly reports, and use KPIs to drive action plans. Drive delivery of national customer service within regional planning teams. Be involved in projects driving continuous improvement, cost reduction, and technology improvement.
    • Staff Management - Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback, coaching and support. Manage staff activities, ensuring service levels and protocols are adhered to. Manage succession plans and contribute to training and development initiatives.
