Support Manager (HR) - Pietermaritzburg at Accountancy Placements

• Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Support Manager (HR) to oversee HR governance, legislative compliance, employee relations and key HR systems, while driving best HR practices across the business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, including BCEA, LRA, Employment Equity Act, OHS Act and COIDA
• Develop, review and maintain HR policies, procedures and governance documentation
• Manage Employment Equity, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and SHE compliance
• Lead employee relations, disciplinary processes and performance management
• Advise management on labour legislation, compliance and HR risk
• Coordinate statutory reporting, compliance audits and risk assessments
• Improve workforce systems, time & attendance processes and payroll efficiency
• Implement and maintain effective document management and version control systems
• Support onboarding, training, workforce planning and recruitment initiatives

Requirements

• Post-matric qualification in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in:
• HR legislative compliance
• Employee relations & disciplinary procedures
• Employment Equity & OHS
• COIDA / IOD
• Performance management
• Recruitment, onboarding & training
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
• Proficiency in IsiZulu (spoken and written) will be advantageous
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
• Team player with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organisation
