A position has become available for a committed individual to join Life Wilgers Hospital as a Switchboard Operator, reporting to the Reception Supervisor. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective management of the telephone service of the Hospital.
Critical Outputs
Answering the switchboard
Updating the telephone lists.
Direct calls to the right department
Assist wards and Doctors with faulty telephones / lines.
Assist Admission staff with admission duties where possible.
Any other duties or tasks that may arise during the normal course of the day.
Updating speed dials on switchboard.
Assist internal and external customers with queries.
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
At least 2 years’ hospital experience
Experience in customer care will be advantageous
Excellent interpersonal skills with good relations with doctors, hospital staff and suppliers.
Strong customer orientation.
Team player.
Very energetic and well organized.
Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
Computer literacy is required.
