What You'll Be Doing:

Business Operations Support

• Implement agreed Manufacturing systems approach by applying appropriate IS methodologies, deliver and support business application implementation according to the CBI priorities and identify capacity requirements (infrastructure) to provide competitive advantage.

Project Management & Delivery

• Manage planned CAPEX and ad hoc IS projects in Manufacturing by applying project management methodologies to manage and mitigate the business operational risk related to Information Systems hardware and system applications.

People Development & Relationship Management

• Participate in knowledge-sharing and skills transfer within service group by providing on the job training of production and Information Systems, mentor junior specialist in order to build internal capabilities and business continuity.  

System Improvement

• Research, collaborate and identify improvement opportunities with internal & external Information Technology, Information Systems, System Integrators and Applications Service providers to exploit the technology for competitive edge advancement.
• Provide technical input during the internal and external audits.

Technical Support & Customer Service

• Provide technical support and advice to the internal customers by liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) relating to the Information Systems and Applications including Information Technology scope to ensure sustainable, safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing business operations.

What You'll Have Done Before:

Baseline:

• NQF Level 7 (B-Tech in Electrical Engineering (Light current)
• 5 Years’ related experience in Heavy Industry, Engineering Electrical Systems.
• Knowledge in Electrical Engineering, Networking, Understanding of the PLC hardware and infrastructure and PLC Software programming, IT essentials, SCADA systems.

Advantageous:

• Project Management certificate
• Proven experience in Batch Blending and Filling systems, OEE and Cybersecurity.
