The Systems Analyst compiles technical specifications from specified business requirements The incumbent produces technical specifications in the form of documents that are in line with agreed upon standards
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business analysts and business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications for the Java development team.
Work closely with Java developers to ensure proper implementation of analytical models, providing clarification and guidance as needed.
Assist in the design and optimization of system architecture to support the efficient processing of analytical models.
Conduct system testing and validation to ensure models are accurately implemented and meet business objectives.
Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and timelines.
Identify potential risks, issues and mitigation strategies related to analytical model productionalisation and recommend solutions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in systems analysis and Java development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 - 5 Years of Experience in the filed
Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably in the financial services or analytical modelling domain.
Strong understanding of Java programming and development practices.
Experience with data analysis and modelling techniques.
Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
