    Talent Development Specialist (Prescient Centralised Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a Talent partner and people consultant to the business, your role will be varied and will require collaboration and engagement with various stakeholders.  Your key duties will include:

    • Working with entity leadership and the Head of Talent, to implement talent initiatives to ensure the retention of key skills and resources, identification of top talent within the business, managing employee development programs, and supporting the high-performance culture of the business.
    • Be an employee champion to help employees achieve their full potential, improving employee satisfaction and retention rates, and improving overall engagement and discretionary performance aligned with the business strategy.
    • Working closely with the Head of Talent and the Talent Acquisition specialist, be involved in the job description and recruitment planning process, as required. Participate proactively in interviews as required.
    • As part of the Talent team, you will continue to positively promote Prescient brand to attract and engage potential top talent candidates
    • Develop and drive initiatives that will create a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes.
    • Assist in the creation and implementation of ongoing leadership development initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate and up to date role scorecards for all roles within the entity as per the agreed talent processes.
    • Support the performance evaluation and peer review process for the entity, providing guidance and support to all queries, Manages the performance calendar processes and practices for the entity under the direction of the Head of Talent.
    • Regularly review and improve the performance feedback process to ensure it remains effective and aligned to organizational goals
    • Collaborate with leadership and the Head of Talent to design individual development plans and following up to ensure the plans are realized; support employees in identifying career paths and ongoing support thereof. Coordinate providing career coaching to high-potential talent and help managers utilize other development tools such as project assignments, job rotations, and mentoring.
    • Develop and implement a critical skills assessment framework
    • Deliver the required information relating to skills development required for regulatory reporting.
    • Support the Graduate program and any associated youth development / graduate planning initiatives as required.
    • Off-boarding journey management, enhancement, reporting and insights. Completion of all exit interviews for the entity.
    • Ensure that the correct change management processes take place where talent management initiatives are implemented.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Proven work experience (4 years +) in a related Talent Development / Talent Specialist position with a specific focus on learning and development, employee experience, skills retention, and talent development practices.
    • Strong preference for experience within Financial Services
    • Sound knowledge of EVP principles
    • Competent use of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Systems orientated and a keen interest in using digital tools to enhance Talent and HR processes.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources / Organisational Psych / commerce required
