    Payroll Administrator - Jet Park

    The Role:  

    • Monthly payroll function for all business areas in South Africa:
    • Collate payroll information, produce reports, and review monthly payroll.
    • Preparation of and oversee monthly salary and 3rd party bank payments.
    • Leave administration
    • Responding to payroll-related queries and ensuring ongoing compliance
    • Accurate and timeous delivery of Adhoc, monthly and annual payroll reports 
    • Maintaining accurate employee records
    • Attending to audit requirements
    • Maintaining knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and regulations
    • Ensure payroll activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures
    • Input new employees on payroll system as well as changes to information
    • Continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems
    • Performing calculations necessary to process manual adhoc payments
    • Telephonic confirmation of employment
    • Submission of monthly EMP201 for ACISA
    • Ensuring deadlines are met in term of payments relating to payroll, and submission of statutory returns
    • Hands-on and ability to improve efficiency in processes
    • Liaison with internal and external auditors as the need arises
    • Ensure accuracy of system calculations
    • Ad hoc tasks (such as UIF administration)
    • Prepare and post payroll accounting entries in SAP ERP system
    • Monthly reconciliations of payroll data with the general ledger, and account for any discrepancies
    • Assist with write-backs on overprovisions, and liaise with business controllers to rectify
    • Keep track of payroll recharges and relay invoicing information to Holdings Controller timeously

    To succeed, you will need:

    • Grade 12 with a Degree in Finance/Human Resources or related with minimum 2-5 years’ experience in support & administration for HR and Finance functions
    • Previous experience with data analytics/reporting is a must
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  Strong presentation and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently, take responsibility and have a high level of self-motivation and commitment
    • Ability to handle strictly confidential information
    • Outstanding administration and organisational skills
    • Negotiation skills and decision-making ability
    • Must be a team player
    • Good communication skills and customer needs orientated
    • Very good level of English in written and spoken form
    • Effective interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work independently with minimal guidance in a fast paced and changing environment
    • Exceptionally detailed oriented and organized
    • Self-starter with ability to finalize initiatives
    • Analytical skills and ability to solve problems
