    Team Leader-Electrical

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership Skills

    • Supervise team members in performing daily duties to ensure productivity outputs.
    • Lead team members to ensure recovery targets are met.
    • Coach team hands-on in to attain skill level and trouble shooting
    • Identify training needs (e.g., lifting equipment license, forklift) of team members.
    • Assist in conducting R&D work as necessary.
    • Operate and implement company policies within the team structure.
    • Initiate, recommend, investigate, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to prevent non-conformance related to products, processes, and the quality system.
    • Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities and liaise with engineering stakeholders for implementation.
    • Be responsible for the workshop operators' discipline and attendance and plan their working shift schedules.
    • Work with the quality department to ensure First Pass Yield (FPY) is achieved and failures are reduced.

    Administrative Skills

    • Oversee inventory control and quality assurance of components and products.
    • Ensure timely delivery of planned quantity and quality of products and services, adhering to cost standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of departmental staff attendance.
    • Optimize resource utilization and fairly distribute workload.
    • Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

    Minimum qualification:

    • Millwright or Electrician (Electrical qualification as per section 13 and accredited by MERSETA).
    • 5 years' experience in Engineering or a similar environment.
    • Sound experience and understanding of technical drawings to ensure correct wiring and placement on vehicles before final approval.
    • Must be computer literate (MS Office package, Syspro, Visio Qualifications).

    • Leadership- motivate and mentor staff to achieve desired output results.
