    Technical Assistant - uMhlanga Hospital

    Role summary

    • To provide Semi Skilled support to the Technical Services Department in order to ensure quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards / policies.

    Education
    Essential

    • Matriculated (Grade12 / Standard 10 Certificate)
    • Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations

    Work experience
    Essential

    • Previous Work experience within Technical Services and/or Private Hospital
    • The ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions
    • The ability to develop using collaborative relationships to help accomplish work goals
    • The ability to actively participate as a member of a team to achieve goals

    Key work output and accountabilities

    • Assisting with the repairs and maintenance of all Hospital equipment and facilities ensuring
    • compliance with the Health and Safety regulations, and Group Policy at all times.
    • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work, time and resources used.
    • Adhoc general duties as assigned by the Technical Manager/Supervisor
    • Assisting Technical Team where allocated to complete job tasks/work orders.
    • Provide assistance with building and painting.
    • Perform supervised general cleaning and maintenance of Hospital property.
    • Assist with the moving of doctor’s rooms and associated equipment and furniture.
    • The ability to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities in order to take appropriate action and or to resolve problems
    • The ability to plan and organise work for self and others to ensure efficient completion
    • Be able to prioritise work tasks

    Knowledge

    • Computer Literate
    • Previous Work experience within Technical Services
    • Previous work experience as a Painter
