JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Technical Information Editor, you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry!
The purpose of this role is:
Review business requirements, product interfaces, and reported issues from internal and external customers to write and edit user assistance. Enhance content with metadata for search engine optimization. Validate content by conducting user research. Deliver content both orally and in writing.
A typical day at ACI for a Technical Information Editor is:
Gain feature familiarity by reviewing business cases, presentations, functional requirements, user stories, prototypes, mock-ups, product interfaces, and internally and externally reported issues on requested product enhancements and defects. Partner with product, engineering, and UX teams to improve the related user experience, UI text, error messages, and API design.
Write and edit user assistance in accordance with ACI style standards.
Validate content through user research projects
Deliver customer-facing content as embedded help, topic-based files, presentations, and training.
Enhance content with metadata for search engine optimization.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Understand and comply with Risk Management program requirements including identification of risks, key controls, and control testing as applicable to responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:
Associate’s degree in English, Technical Communication, or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ courses towards user experience certification, or equivalent experience
1-3 years’ experience:
Translating complex technical information into simple, clear content for end-users
Working in a topic-based content management system
Solid understanding of task analysis, persona development, usability testing, and other user experience design methodologies
