    Technical Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    Solutions and Projects

    • Overview and manage project submittals at hand with the Project Engineers, and set in place all needed KPI’s, registries, and files for the monitoring and development of projects.
    • Review, annotate and approve all technical submittals and designs prior to submittal to customers and review the commercial submittals with the General Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Senior Projects Engineer as applicable and needed.
    • Initiate and develop relationships with projects customers and prospects, such as consultants and contractors; through continuous visits and follow-up on their needs and requirements for the ongoing purpose of developing projects and solutions business.

    Technical:

    • Provide technical consultancy advice upon inquiry from both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide support to the sales managers, engineers and teams by accompanying them on visits to selected customers when and as needed.
    • Accompany visitors on technical visits for generator sets’ testing or any other purpose of technical nature and oversee preparations with concerned personnel and Heads of Departments.
    • Make feasibility studies of establishing after-sales centers in other regional and international markets where the company conducts business and has current or potential customers, and present to the GM and MD for review and approval. 
    • Be informed on production plans and provide support to the production team in all technical / production advice needs.
    • Prepare and execute studies for any expansion works of current production / maintenance facilities; or new facilities such as factories, workshops, maintenance centers…etc.
    • Prepare technical training material for current and new joining engineers and technicians for their technical professional development and products knowledge; and coordinate that with the HR training officer and Heads of Departments for implementation and communication when and as needed.  
    • Follow up and monitor the update of all technical bulletins, catalogues and technical literature from all suppliers and ensure the timely and complete communication across all related departments and personnel as needed. 

    After Sales Support:

    • Overview and follow up all after sales maintenance services including maintenance visits to customers as well as workshops operations and work, in coordination and guidance to the engineers and senior technicians in charge.
    • Manage and follow all warranty coverage schemes with all suppliers, and coordinate that with customers, suppliers and accounting department, to ensure complete and sound coverage to customers and timely reimbursement from suppliers.
    • Setup and review lists and registries of all after sales / maintenance service contracts and agreements with the After Sales Engineer and respective branch managers to monitor the growth of after sales service.
    • Overview and standardize all after sales contracts; Site Maintenance Report (SMR’s) formats; Job Orders forms and implement as per the applicable ISO measures of documents controls.

    Policies and Subordinates management:

    • Supervise the respective team of direct reports through contributing to effective recruitment, development, performance management, succession planning, and disciplinary measures as deemed fit, in order to maximize team performance and achieve sectional objectives.
    • Supervise the communication and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, in order to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are clearly communicated and duly fulfilled.
    • Contribute to the management of departmental compliance to all relevant health and safety requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and legislative.

    Profile:

    •  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master's is a plus
    • 10 to 12 years technical management experience in a similar industry
    • 5 years in a Supervisory or Managerial role
