Technical Project Manager : Internal Projects at Clickatell

Purpose

We are looking for a Technical Internal Project Manager who will be responsible for initiating and managing projects that involve internal company projects such as compliance policy changes and Cybersecurity project initiatives. Essentially, this entails administrating a portfolio of internal initiatives as the Clickatell business grows and scales. This PM will work closely with internal departments, in particular, the Information Security, Compliance and Risk departments, and especially the CISO, in executing and operationalising compliance policy enhancements. The Technical Internal Project Manager will report directly to the Programme Manager.

Responsibilities of the Role

• Maintain overall control of the schedule, budget, and scope, and ensure project plans and working products are based on approved, agreed-upon requirements
• Form collaborative and productive working relationships across the organization to ensure projects are adopted and understood in all areas of the business – managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Take the lead shaping and orchestrating a variety of projects into our overall program to ensure a holistic approach to security, risk, compliance and regulation projects.
• Prepare project management deliverables (project plans, roadmaps/timelines, change requests and KPI's)
• Apply structured project management methods but be flexible enough to pivot and iterate, while regularly communicating changes to relevant stakeholders
• Champion the organization's Agile methodology, tools, and techniques, supplementing any needs with traditional project plans
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress – regularly report back to PMO and stakeholders
• Represent the business during the solution development, refinement, communicating decisions and gaining buy in from business stakeholders on business value
• Collaborate on project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring operational feasibility - leading project planning/scoping sessions
• Ensure integrity of original project scope is maintained and any adjustments are communicated and understood by all key stakeholders
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks - identifies risks and vulnerabilities, and creates contingency plans
• Partner and lead projects across a broad spectrum of Compliance Initiatives
• Coordinate internal resources in the successful execution of Compliance projects – establishing communications plan for all projects
• Manage stakeholder engagements, from meeting scheduling to agenda setting and minute taking
• Ensure projects/intake requests are integrated with other business and related projects
• Create detailed portfolio reports for executive staff
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques, including KPI's
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation – managing project data.

Requirements

Requirements of the Role

• Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)PM or Agile Certification (PMP, PRINCE II, MPM, Scaled Agile etc.) (Essential)
• Degree / Qualification in a relating field e.g. Business Administration, Commercial Law (Beneficial)

Work Experience

• 8+ years of experience working in Project Management (Essential)
• Solid project management background, with hands-on experience rolling out compliance & regulatory initiatives (Essential)
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment (Beneficial)

Knowledge and Abilities

• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence (Essential)
• Knowledge of the application of project management methodologies and standards (Essential)
• Ability to put into practice security and privacy frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, SOC2, NIST, CIS and GDPR (Beneficial)
• Knowledge of best practices associated with rolling out ISO27001, SOC2, NIST, CIS, GDPR initiatives (Beneficial)
• Knowledge of Compliance requirements for IT/Information Security (Beneficial)
• Knowledge of the information security and financial services industry (Beneficial)
