    VP Financial Controller & Treasury

    Purpose

    We are searching for an inspiring team player and leader to join our fantastic Finance Leadership team as we help global brands win big in the digital commerce revolution. Reporting directly to the CFO, this important role will lead a team of 20+ motivated and energetic professionals. The successful candidate will be a leader that is able to coach and develop the team as we expand the business significantly in the coming years. We also want this individual to be a key influential leader for the broader business, leveraging their knowledge and experience to drive great business decisions, optimize processes and identify opportunities.

    We Do The Right Things - Responsibilities of the Role

    • Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and be a key contributor to the strategic direction and success of the company
    • Lead, develop and grow the global team that delivers the core Accounting and Treasury operations functions for the business
    • Oversee all accounting functions, making sure reporting and bookkeeping is accurate and in compliance with all appropriate accounting standards
    • Ultimate responsibility for the company’s various accounting close processes (monthly, quarterly and annually), the Annual Audit and external reporting for the company
    • Financial statements: Oversee the team that completes the financial statements ensuring they are correct, complete, free of errors and in compliance with all relevant standards / laws
    • Create accounting strategies and analyse accounts, suggesting improvements to reduce costs and maximize profits
    • Provide expertise and based on industry changes, and where necessary guide updates and changes in financial policies, procedures, and internal controls (GAAP compliant procedures)
    • Lead and direct change initiatives and operational improvements, such as systems or technology implementations that will improve the effectiveness of the company

    Requirements

    • Have a minimum of 15+ years of relevant accounting experience with a degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance and a current professional accounting qualification

    Work Experience

    • Experience in public accounting and a software/SaaS business
    • Experience at both Medium (250+ employees) and Large (1,000+ employees) companies desired, and ideally experience in a company that has grown significantly
    • Proven leader of teams with multiple functional responsibilities
    • Experience working closely with (or leading) Treasury team operations including international cash management
    • Experience seeing or implementing system upgrades
    • Experience both working for a multinational company, and working overseas is desired

    Expert Knowledge and Ability

    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and tax processes (familiarity with IFRS in addition, is desirable)
    • Strong technical skills and experience of being a senior lead in a public company reporting team including experience of SEC reporting and SOX controls required

    Manager Financial Planning and Analysis (FP &A)

    Purpose

    The Manager FP&A is a high impact role. Your purpose is to support our Director FP&A and the CFO in ensuring the group’s financial plan is delivered. You will have a key role in reporting, budgeting/planning, and helping the business understand the financial results. The FP&A organisation is at the centre of driving great decisions in the business and this individual will be expected to bring experience and insightful analysis to help drive the business forward.

    This role will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and reviewing results, helping improve the quality and insight of the reporting over time. As Clickatell grows, so will the role and scope and this will not only drive further opportunities for growth, but also the opportunity for the individual to keep improving processes and play an important role in long-term strategic planning.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    • Lead the development and improvement of monthly Divisional Management Accounts, offering insight into divisional business performance while influencing and supporting business planning, commercial decision making, forecasting and the budgeting processes of the divisions.
    • Responsible for large parts of the annual budgeting process and the quarterly forecasting process as well as leading the preparation and distribution of the monthly Management Accounts.
    • Prepare and manage the 5 Year Projections and Forecasting Analysis model, including external benchmarking and peer performance assessments.
    • Partner and collaborate with divisional C-level leaders to help them understand and use driver-based planning to assess priorities and create important medium to long term cross-functional business execution plans & budgets. Work with the CFO and CEO to help assess the success and areas for improvement from those plans with a view to creating clarity about performance and a culture of collaborative accountability.
    • Ensure all leaders are familiar with their financial targets and the financial performance of their function, including the need for budgetary control and adherence to financial controls.
    • Be a champion of continuous improvement within finance & accounting by identifying opportunities to enhance current systems and procedures, adapting them to keep pace with the changes in the business and its needs.
    • Partner with Treasury and Tax to ensure accurate forecasting of cash, interest, and tax.
    • Review and interrogate business case funding requests (e.g. Capex allocation support). Prepare ad-hoc analysis to assist with commercial business decisions.

    Requirements of the Role

    • CIMA or CA(SA) qualified.
    • 6 - 8 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
    • 2 + years FP&A Manager experience
    • Ability to collect and analyse information, problem-solve, identify decisions / options and communicate them with partners around the business.
    • Use data analysis to identify issues, spark thinking and propose solutions or options for solving complex problems.

    Senior Java Developer

    Purpose

    This role for a Senior Software Java Developer in the Cape Town office as part of our plan to expand our Common Services platform. Having financial background is a huge plus, as is being able to navigate your way through different application integrations.

    Purpose

    As the email marketing specialist, you will be responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive engagement, qualified leads, conversion and ROI in our Marketing automation platform, HubSpot.

    Financial Accountant

    Purpose

    Your purpose is to assist in the completion and review of accurate & timely financial accounting and reporting for all group entities up to consolidated level. To assist with ensuring that relevant processes & internal controls are in place to facilitate Clickatell’s compliance with statutory, tax & legal requirements across the group.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    • Assist the Group Senior Financial Manager and Treasurer in the financial accounting and internal controls by:
    1. Performing monthly Trial balance checks to ensure all month end processes have been completed with a focus on the balance sheet and related reconciliations
    2. To ensure the financial & accounting policies, procedures and internal controls are updated, reviewed regularly and are appropriate to the activities of the Group so that the Group is protected from fraud & error, and that accounting records are complete and accurate
    • Provide support to the Group Senior Financial Manager in the financial and management accounting information
    1. Assist with month-end close procedures
    2. Assist in Flash reporting (Revenue and Cost of sales)
    • Assist in implementing changes in accounting policies (IFRS Updates)

    Director, Product Management - Common Services

    We are seeking a Product Director to join our team of Champions focused on disrupting a $50B+ market. This role is deemed essential in managing and growing the portfolio of Common Services that underpin and align our products with our execution plan. The role will focus on managing a team of individuals each responsible for a component of shared services that is fundamental to the successful growth, adoption, and scalability of Clickatell’s products. The role will also form part of the Product Leadership team who works as a unit to direct Clickatell’s product portfolio to be in line with the overall business strategy.     As a member of the global Clickatell Product Management and Product Leadership team, the successful candidate will own the end-to-end lifecycle of the assigned portfolio of platforms, portals, products, and various other shared services:

    • Manage the Product team who are custodians of Clickatell's common services, i.e., Platforms, Portals, Data & Analytics, Billing & Administration tools, and Technical Writing. Lead, mentor and grow this team to be formidable contributors to the execution of Clickatell’s overall product strategy. Be a player and a coach.
    • Take ownership of the portfolio you are assigned and create a winning experience for Clickatell’s customers. Product Management is above all else a business function focused on maximizing business value from a product.

    • Develop operational procedures and other relevant documentation in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally to ensure optimal adoption of common technology components and processes across the business.

    Requirements

    • 13+ years experience in product management at a senior level in a high performing environment, where tech and innovation are at the forefront (Software as a Service, Messaging, or Telecom experience is an advantage).
    • 7+ years in a leadership role with people management responsibilities - including providing guidance and direction to product managers and serving as their line manager and coach.
    • Be customer-centric and metrics-driven. Know how to analyze the market, influence peers, and understand longer term product/market direction by staying informed and aligned with fellow product leaders and executives.
    • Align multiple teams, products, and strategies with Clickatell’s overarching product strategy and related objectives. Ensure that the development teams know what the vision of the product is and what the business value and drivers are for each phase/sprint of development.

    Technical Project Manager : Internal Projects

    Purpose

    We are looking for a Technical Internal Project Manager who will be responsible for initiating and managing projects that involve internal company projects such as compliance policy changes and Cybersecurity project initiatives. Essentially, this entails administrating a portfolio of internal initiatives as the Clickatell business grows and scales. This PM will work closely with internal departments, in particular, the Information Security, Compliance and Risk departments, and especially the CISO, in executing and operationalising compliance policy enhancements. The Technical Internal Project Manager will report directly to the Programme Manager.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    • Maintain overall control of the schedule, budget, and scope, and ensure project plans and working products are based on approved, agreed-upon requirements
    • Form collaborative and productive working relationships across the organization to ensure projects are adopted and understood in all areas of the business – managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
    • Take the lead shaping and orchestrating a variety of projects into our overall program to ensure a holistic approach to security, risk, compliance and regulation projects.
    • Prepare project management deliverables (project plans, roadmaps/timelines, change requests and KPI's)

    Technical Account Manager

    Purpose

    We are looking for a Technical Account Manager that will join our Customer Success team in our Cape Town office. You will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of Clickatell's relationship with its customers. The role will collaborate within the Sales team, Program Office, Operations and Engineering teams within the company.     Customer On-boarding

    • Provide technical support for customers to support post-sales processes

    • Ensuring network, hardware, operating systems, software applications and any related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, customers, and partners

    • Lead the Systems Administration Community of Practices (COP) where a forum is created to share knowledge and promote learning.
