    Technical Trainer

    Job Overview

    UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. The technical trainer will be responsible for on-the-job training (practical and theoretical) of assemblers for them to carry out assembly activities in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with production requirements.   

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Prepare and conduct technical training programs for assemblers.
    • Assess training needs and certification requirements.
    • Deploy training to targeted personnel.
    • Prepare training material and classroom agenda.
    • Prepare and Conduct presentations.
    • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids).
    • Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills.
    • Mentor team leaders in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses.
    • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle.
    • Test process with different subjects.
    • Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System.
    • Support with recording of training.
    • Performance details are to be collected from process owners and provided to HR to update in employee personnel file.
    • The trainer to perform Technical-training-related assessments and observe as per the assessment reference guidelines. 

    Qualifications:

    • National Diploma in Engineering or related qualification.
    • Minimum 4 years of truck assembler experience.
    • ODETDP qualification with facilitation, assessing and moderation.

    Experience:

    • Exposure to an Assembly plant.
    • Must have good communication skills.
    • Exposure to Assembly production process control system.
    • Exposure to Supervisory environment (Advantageous)
    • Exposure to mechanical environment (Advantageous)

      Job requirements:

    • Presentation skills
    • Knowledge on handling assembly tools and equipment, 
    • Should have willingness and participate in constant learning and coaching trainees. 
    • Ability to listen to the customer, identify and predict their needs.
    • Knowledge on plan, organise and deliver training and training concept.
    • Analyse and provide practical feasible alternatives (term, quality, effectiveness), aiming not only at the specific demand, influencing the effectiveness.
    • Knowledge to analyse requirement and transmit to trainees - the technical, functional, product performance and connected to the assembly characteristics.
    • Product knowledge according to their technical, functional, performance and assembly characteristics.
    • Work discipline, time and quality and safety consciousness.
