Key Responsibilities
Supplier and JV partner management.
Implementing and maintaining clear operational, food and health safety standards of all relevant in store areas.
Quality monitoring and reporting including creating detailed specifications.
Manage the resolution of non-compliances from audits.
Monitor customer satisfaction through customer complaint analysis and trending.
Technical communication and interaction with different buying departments, auditors, stores and suppliers.
Involvement in departmental specific development launches and projects.
Driving the green café programme and the good business journey in Foodservices concepts.
Interpretation of and application of relevant food legislation requirements.
Identify and effectively manage food safety risks.
Key Competencies
ND / BTech in Food Technology or BSc Food Science.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Food technology - preferably retail / supplier experience across multiple food categories and /or experience in the QSR / hospitality industries.
Knowledge of technical processes / principles and in depth understanding of food legislation.
Proven technical experience with complex supplier disciplines within high and low risk areas.
Ability to drive technical and product innovation.
Strong team player and ability to work independently when required.
Business acumen, judgement and problem-solving ability.
Ability to risk asses and manage food safety.
Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
