    Technology Strategy & Transformation - Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct in-depth reviews of a client's current technology landscape, business processes, and pain points to identify areas for improvement and potential transformation opportunities.
    • Develop a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the client's business objectives, including short-term and long-term technology roadmap.
    • Evaluate the potential costs and benefits of various technology solutions to make informed recommendations.
    • Design and architect technology landscapes and solutions that address identified business needs, considering emerging technologies like cloud computing, AI, automation, and data analytics.
    • Support digital transformation initiatives by communicating architectural best practices and ensuring business adoption of new technologies.
    • Evaluate and recommend enterprise applications, databases, and analytics tools that enhance efficiency and innovation.
    • Oversee teams in assessing current state of systems, processes and technologies, defining requirements, and developing / configuring the infrastructure to align with sector requirements, strategic business goals, and existing operations.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams, programme/project managers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, meet objectives, and adhere to established guidelines by leveraging their deep knowledge of project management methodologies, industry best practices, and relevant technical expertise.
    • Providing specialized technical advice on project execution, including process improvements, tool selection, and compliance with industry standards.
    • Understands and applies the major program management approaches and practices (e.g., SDLC, ITIL)
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to drive data-informed decisions.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
    • Build strong client relationships to ensure timely and impactful project delivery.
    • Coach and mentor junior team members, helping them develop their consulting capabilities.
    • Contribute to thought leadership, practice development, and market initiatives.
    • Ability to drive sales and business development in the form of new engagement requests including new targeting opportunities, RFP bid requests, client relationship building and opportunity identification and targeting etc.
    • Leverage an in-depth knowledge of market-specific products and solutions to enhance impact of recommended solutions.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant Degree, Honours, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Qualification or similar
    • Advanced certifications / qualifications, such as COBIT, TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP, Cloud Certifications, Agile, PMBOK
    • 10+ years’ experience with role(s) in a professional firm, consulting services, public and/or private sector organizations
    • Proven expertise in digital system implementations, process improvements, risk analysis, and operational transformation.
    • A track record of hypothesis-driven problem-solving and delivering exceptional outcomes in high-pressure environments.
    • Solid grasp of technical skills and methodology
    • Experience in performing systems post-implementation reviews (incl. data migration reviews)
    • Cyber / Information Security experience in one or more key industries of focus for Deloitte
    • Developing Digital fluency and knowledge on Emerging technologies, including Cloud, AI, etc.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of large-scale information technology application systems, infrastructure, business processes and security standards.
    • Demonstrated experience in responding to proposals / business development opportunities.

    • Proven winning business, staff development, exceptional delivery, business development, continuous improvement.
    • Bring deep technical (SME) and industry experience to engage with clients and key stakeholders pragmatically.
    • Understands technical complexity at Network, Application, Database, Infrastructure and Cloud level.
    • Understand and interpret complex business challenges and has a demonstrated ability to respond by conceiving innovative solutions for clients.
    • Strong on design and delivery of end-to-end solutions which are enabled by technology and can think independently and creatively when formulating solutions.
    • Strong in the field of current technologies and their applications within a business context.
    • Experience in translating clients' risk, security, and compliance requirements into specific solutions and design patterns.
    • Good grasp of laws and regulations related to Information Security, Data Protection and/or Privacy.
    • Ability to identify patterns, and analyse and improve processes and controls.
    • IT System and networks design, build and administration.
    • Project Management including Agile Project Management.
    • DevOps toolsets (CI/CD pipeline) and corresponding DevSecOps capabilities.
    • Microservices, containerisation, server-less computing/FaaS.
    • Related Technical fundamentals at that point in time and what the market is procuring.

    • Manages large engagement / multiple engagement deadlines holistically, identifying risks and escalating.

    • Custodian of the business, shaping offerings that we need to proactively take to the market.
