Theft Quantum Moderator at Santam Insurance

What will you do?

A position has become available for Desktop Motor Claims Moderator and will be based in the Motor Merit Claims Department at Auckland Park offices.

What will make you successful in this role?

• To determine accurate market values on stolen motor vehicles for correct and fair settlement of these claims.
• To provide specialist technical support.
• To, if required, assist assessors to negotiate and settle claims with clients within the delegated threshold related to Santam’s financial risk.
• Ensure application of business rules
• Knowledge Sharing
• Evaluating requests for re-assessment and provide guidance
• Reporting on the moderation results including solutions for improvement
• Continuous technical guidance and support
• On the job coaching/peer coaching

Qualification And Experience

• Minimum 2 years motor assessing experience
• Two years trainee motor assessing, automotive mechanic, automotive body repairer or automotive spray painter qualification
• Vehicle Damage Quantification Qualification (VDQ)
• Stolen vehicle module
• CBMT (Competency Based Modular Training)
• Coaching experience
• Claims handling process experience
• Abuntex knowledge
• Correct interpretation and application of TransUnion Auto Dealer Values

• Basic business ethics and financial principles related to claims
