Trade Mark Secretary-TM: Anti-Counterfeiting Africa at Spoor & Fisher

Job Advert Summary    

• Spoor & Fisher is looking for a Trade Mark Secretary within the TM: Anti-Counterfeiting Africa team. The successful candidate will be based in the Centurion office, reporting to the Partner heading up the practice. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and should be able to attend to general trade mark secretarial duties with a focus on litigation.

Minimum Requirements    

• Proficient in MS Word
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Litigation experience
• Dictaphone experience
• A good command of the English language
• Accuracy
• Organised
• An eye for detail
• Quick turnaround times

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Attending to urgent dictation for PHM (litigious matters and occasionally prosecution)
• Assisting with and preparing litigation documents including letters of demand; undertakings; settlement agreements and affidavits
• Assisting client with queries
• Attending to diary
• Capturing time and preparing invoices
• Conducting on-line investigations
• Scheduling meetings for PHM
• Handling emails and queries from clients
• Preparing application instruction sheet
• Assisting with departmental typing
• Preparing trade mark reports from internal data
• Preparing reports and follow up on cases
