    Training Officer X2 (Onsite)

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Spearhead and manage internal training programs for THINK as well as external training for the broader program.
    • Design and maintain a digital training calendar with an integrated dashboard to track and manage scheduled activities.
    • Assist in the development of training modules, tools, surveys, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with the organisation's objectives.
    • Continuously review and update training materials, ensuring adherence to updated guidelines, webinars, and pertinent information for the unit.
    • Collaborate with the Training and Education Lead Manager, as well as IT, in establishing and streamlining virtual training modules and platforms.
    • Offer unwavering support and mentorship to nurses within the program post their initial training.
    • Conduct both clinical and non-clinical training sessions, ensuring that the content is tailored to the audience's needs and understanding, and adhering to the highest standards of instructional excellence.
    • Handle data entry tasks and analyse the resultant data for insights.
    • Draft comprehensive reports targeting stakeholders, funding entities, and for publication purposes.
    • Oversee program deliverables ensuring timelines are met and standards are maintained.
    • Carry out project-related administrative responsibilities efficiently.
    • Coordinate activities related to SETAs, including the timely preparation and submission of requisite information.
    • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior training staff and extend the same support to the broader THINK team when necessary.
    • Invest in personal growth by attending pertinent training sessions, thereby building capacity and bringing fresh insights and techniques to the table.


    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    • Diploma or degree in Nursing is advantageous. 
    • A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in independently conducting and developing training modules.
    • Specific experience in the health system's training landscape.
    • Experience in the TB and HIV sector is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access database, PowerPoint.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Fluent command over written and spoken English.
    • Experience in scouting for funding opportunities and engaging with SETAs is an added advantage.
