    Asset Manager - Cape Town

    Main responsibilities

    • Project Company Asset Management: General Management and ultimate responsibility and accountability for SPV management from Financial close to end of project life
    • Drive financial and operational performance and  be responsible for driving profits – refinancing / plant performance improvements / opex optimisations 
    • Ensure that the power plants are delivering expected financial returns
    • Forecasting and budgeting
    • Analyse system efficiencies and identify opportunities for improved performance
    • Update the Financial Models as and when required by the Financing Agreements
    • Financial Management and Accounting:Administer all project financing agreements
    • Update the Financial Models as and when required by the Financing Agreements
    • Stakeholder Engagement - Board and shareholders, Lenders, landlords, IPPO, DMRE, etc
    • Corporate Governance and Contract Management: Administer and ensure compliance for all project contracts and agreements between the SPV and third parties

    Qualifications and competencies 

    • CA(SA) or equivalent qualification OR
    • Engineering qualification with good financial acumen which can be evidenced by: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent Proficiency in understanding and budgeting cashflows
    • Proficiency in understanding financial modelling and analysis
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Project Finance (structuring, deal monitoring or courses)
    • Financial modelling certification
    • Project Finance (structuring, deal monitoring or courses) and Project management
    • 5 to 7 years of working experience within the areas of finance management, project-related asset management, project finance-related banking or advisory, corporate finance or controlling, accounting or auditing
    • Knowledge of utility-scale renewable energy projects 
    • Previous Asset management experience in the renewable energy sector

    Junior Asset Analyst - Cape Town

    Main responsibilities 

    • Financial model updating and analysis -Update financial models to assess trends, forecast performance & analyse project performance
    • Use tools like Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI to analyze to visualize data and provide management recommendations
    • Manage dashboards to track real-time financial and operational performance
    • Make recommendations to the Asset Management Team using data analytics
    • Create presentations and perform ad-hoc analysis
    • Lenders Relationship Management - Calculate and Monitor debt covenants and other key financial metrics per financial forecasts
    • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports using data analytics and dashboards
    • Day to day operations- Understand and ensure all project activities are aligned to all project financing agreements including the monitoring, analysis and assessment of all payments of the plant against the financial model and approved budgets
    • Manage the delivery tracker for projects, board Pack Collation for board meetings
    • Assisting with coordinating Board meetings and drafting Board minutes and following up on action items

    • Ensure the timeous collection of electricity revenue, coordinate with Finance team to ensure monthly accruals, GL entries and internal reporting are completed in a timely and accurate manner and allocate invoices and costs to appropriate accounts

    Qualifications and competencies 

    • University Degree in Finance, Business science, data analytics, financial modelling or equivalent
    • Knowledge / experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Power Bi will be beneficial)
    • Proficiency in cashflow analysis, projections and tracking performance metrics against budget
    • Proficiency in Financial modelling / data analytics certification such as FMVA®
    • 3 years working experience in the following environments:
    • Experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Modelling, Transaction Advisory, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Utility-scale energy
    • Experience in Project finance or financial services experience in the Independent Power Producer renewable energy sector
    • Experience in the renewable energies in the global energy mix
    • Experience pushing the boundaries of data and developing novel approaches to shed new light on difficult questions
    • Experience with problem-solving, strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from data and recommend actions

    Procurement and Logistics Coordinator -12 Month Contract

    Main responsibilities 

    Structuring Phase of projects

    • Highlight logistic risks identified during the structuring phase and timeously communicate to Line Manager
    • Facilitate visits to potential ports and obtain road risk assessment to site
    • Prepare project documentation for execution including shipping registers, delivery plans and others in
    • accordance with the operating system
    • Assist with a low risk cost effective delivery plan and submit proposal to the line manager
    • Prepare the logistic RFP before submitting to Line Manager for approval to issue
    • Issue and follow up on logistics RFP responses
    • Assist with the bid evaluation and recommendation process

    Delivery/execution phase

    • Prepare contracts for relevant service/material suppliers
    • Ensure that signed contract is returned, shared on document management system and communicated to Project Team
    • Create and maintain logistic schedules
    • Manage all Customs related documents
    • Ensure that the milestone project documentation is obtained, shared on the operating system and communicated to Project Team
    • Maintain the logistics execution plan per project
    • Receive invoices and check against contracts/purchase orders and delivery notes from site and recommend  for payment or reject with reasons
    • Obtain updated delivery advise from Suppliers and align on deliveries with Project Team
    • Assist in closing out contracts at end of project
    • Ensure that handover of spare parts list and material to Operation & Maintenance team is done.
    • Provide warranty register and handover to Operation & Maintenance team
    • Compile lessons learned report and submit to the line manager

    Qualifications and competencies 

    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management
    • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
    • 2+ years’ experience in Procurement Operating System
    • Organise day-to-day electronic filing in the document management system
    • Excellent knowledge in MS Office: Advanced Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint
    • Presentation and report writing skills
    • Excellent communication skills, customer and goal oriented
