    UX Researcher

    Job Summary:

    • A UX Researcher I helps teams to understand user behaviours, needs and motivations. She/he works collaboratively with senior researchers and other business teams. She/ he uses observation techniques, interviews, task analysis and other feedback methodologies. She/he ensures our produts are regularly tested with users.

    Responsibilities:

    Customer (or User) Focus

    •  Is familiar with and can use customer frameworks (e.g. Jobs To Be Done, personas).
    •  Leverages analytics and other insights to better understand customer needs.
    •  Leads research to explore and understand user needs.
    •  Makes research driven recommendations to improve the overalll user experience.
    •  Keeps up to date on news/incidents and understands what is happening in the market and with competitors.

    Creative Problem Solving

    •  Asks the right questions to explore the problem.
    •  Works with designers to iterate and test solutions.
    •  Independently identifies different research solutions.
    •  Considers the problem from a number of angles.
    •  Collaboratively analyses the results of research to recommend solutions.

    Product Design

    •  Under the guidance of seniors, follows a User-Centred research process.
    •  Practices and learns research techniques.
    •  Creates research documentation and analysis outputs.
    •  Runs small-medium research projects.
    •  Works with UX Designer to define structure and layout of the product.
    •  Works with Visual Designer to define the visual identity of products.

    Data Driven Analysis & Testing

    •  Regularly tests design work with users in partnership with UX Design team.
    •  Proactively uses data to establish key metrics for projects.
    •  Iterates research methods based on testing and data analysis.
    •  Explores data from analytics packages, customer insight or other sources to understand context of research work.

    Technical Skills

    •  Uses relevant tools for research analysis.
    •  Understands the nuances of researching in different contexts (remote / in person / unmoderated /moderated).
    •  Uses research software (Qualtics, Lookback, Usertesting.com) to intermediate level.
    •  Proactively identifies needs for training in technical skills.

    Experience and Education

    • Minimum 2 years of corporate work experience in a UX Researcher role
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in a design subject (Psychology, UX, HCI, Product Design, Design, Graphic Design, etc discipline) is preferred.
