Warehouse Management System Consultant at Apex Real Time Solutions

About The Role

• We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Management System Consultant to join our team and support the implementation and ongoing support of our WMS software and solutions. The role requires a combination of warehousing industry knowledge, systems knowledge, problem-solving, and communication skills, and will suit someone who understands warehouse or supply chain environments and is comfortable engaging with clients at both operational and technical levels.
• This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Johannesburg, with some travel required to client locations, although will consider candidates from other areas of South Africa if they are perfect for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document client requirements related to warehouse processes and system needs
• Configure and implement our WMS software according to project specifications
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Provide user training and documentation
• Support clients after go-live through ongoing system optimisation and troubleshooting
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet timelines and client expectations
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

• Familiarity with warehouse operations, supply chain processes and logistics systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams
• Experience using SQL (queries, views and stored procedures, understanding of data structures)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a tea

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years' experience in supply chain systems implementing WMS solutions
• Experience working with warehouse technology and automation environments
• Exposure to software configuration or solution design in a logistics context
