Works Manager / Site Manager at Phakisa Group

Job Summary:

• The Scaffold Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all scaffolding operations on site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project specifications, and timelines. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive technical scaffold knowledge, legal liability awareness, and the ability to manage teams across day or night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations Management

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all scaffold activities.
• Allocate resources efficiently for day or night shifts.
• Ensure scaffolding structures meet design specifications.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce OSH Act and Construction Regulations.
• Implement Fall Protection Plans and conduct HIRA.
• Act as Permit Acceptor for high-risk activities.

Training & Supervision

• Supervise scaffold crews and ensure valid training for team members.
• Perform Scaffold Inspections daily.

Incident & Legal Management

• Act as Incident Investigator for scaffold-related incidents.
• Maintain knowledge of Legal Liability standards.
• Manage stacking and storage of scaffold materials.

Administrative Duties

• Use MS Office for reports, inspections, and data capturing.

Qualifications & Certifications (Mandatory):

• Valid certifications for Driver's License, Working at Height, Scaffold Erector, Confined Space Training, HIRA, and more.

Key Competencies:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret scaffold design drawings.
• Problem-solving under pressure.
