    Workshop Foreman

    ASSIST WITH EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES:

    Core Tasks:

    • Assist in initiating new job cards with relevant information
    • Assist with daily management of orders and attendance to complaints
    • Render technical support/assistance (internal/external)
    • Identify and initiate claims
    • Manage and check content of claims room
    • Ad hoc inspection of serviceable vehicles/tractors

    ASSIST WITH EFFECTIVE MARKETING AND LIAISON WITH CLIENT:

    Core Tasks:

    Assist with marketing plan according to Equipment Marketing strategy:

    • Client clinics
    • Promotions
    • Inspection programs
    •  Assist with continuous and effective liaison with clients.
    • Assist with timeous and effective attention to complaints.

    EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF ADMINISTRATION:

    Core Tasks:

    • Draw and check reports (see Evidence).
    • Assist with financial management of workshop (budgets per technician, hour, travelling, sublets).
    • Assist with high quality internal & external communication.
    • Assist with health and safety compliance.

    EFFECTIVE MENTORING OF PERSONNEL:

    Core Tasks:

    • Manage scheduling of workshop personnel.
    • Inform staff about desired outcomes in terms of goals and objectives.
    • Observe performance and provide constructive feedback regularly.
    • Assist with developing staff to full potential.
    • Identify potential for accelerated development.
    • Support candidates during development process.
    • Adhere to responsibilities according to relevant legislation & regulations (BCEA, LRA, OSH Act).

    PERFORM TECHNICAL DUTY AS REQUIRED PER MANDATE:

    Core Tasks:

    • Provide service and maintenance of Agri-mechanical equipment.
    • Maintain minimum set hours service delivery per month as per management mandate.
    • Monitor workshop productivity per technician.
    • Ensure high quality of service delivery.
    • Inspect work of technicians before signing off.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    •  Qualifications: National Senior Certificate and qualified tractor technician
    • Requirements: At least 2 years relevant Agri-mechanical experience.
