    1 x Credit Controller, Rentokil Initial, Western Cape

    We have central support functions of Human Resources, IT, Finance, Legal and Marketing & Innovation in the Rentokil Initial Head Office locations and in the country.

    Requirements

    A vacancy has arisen for a Credit Controller’s for the Accounts Receivable (AR) team. Preference will be given to suitable applicants in line with the Company Normalisation Policy.

    Key Outputs:

    • Maintain a realistically low incidence of bad debt
    • Consistently meet and maintain KPI’s (collections, bad debt, dso’s and query targets)
    • Works with a minimum of direction on collections for an important ledger, possibly key accounts
    • Anticipates developments, and identifies accounts that will require special attention
    • Handles disputed accounts and negotiate to bring payment into line with terms
    • Undertakes complex reconciliations, and compiles documentation for legal action
    • Maintains accurate individual measurement and performance statistics
    • Obtains sufficient information to assess the risk of new and existing customers
    • Works within guidelines and reports to the AR Team Leader
    • Close liaison with business units, internal and external clients, the focal point being timeous collections and query resolution
    • Provide accurate advice on debt management, queries, VAT issues etc
    • Involvement in the reconciliations analysis of ledger accounts and billing history
    • Liaise with billing on Credit Control queries, through to prompt resolution
    • Ensure all relevant details are provided for the “collection package” delivered to the market for collection
    • Liaise with current service provider, claims handlers and others on outstanding collections
    • Undertake ad-hoc responsibilities as required

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years in a credit control experience as well as 2 years exposure in reconciliations
    • Experience & exposure in a Service or FMCG environment (Banking Sector, Retail Sector , Shoprite, Edcon , Eskom and PnP etc.) is essential as it is key accounts and on an open item system
    • Proven working knowledge of accounting system (Credit Management 1,2,3)
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel -Advance, etc.)

    • Excellent understanding of Accounts Receivable, Sales and Operations procedures
    • Must possess initiative and work without supervision

    • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy

    1 x Pest Control Operator- Pinetown

    You would be supporting the Rentokil Pest Control business in the Pinetown Branch within the KZN Region

    ROLE SUMMARY (purpose)

    This PCO role would suit an applicant that has specialised hands on experience and exposure to fumigation and the use of Sulfuryl Fluoride as well as termite treatments. The Service Technician is responsible for managing the relationship between Rentokil and the prospective client through the delivery of high quality pest control services suitable to the client’s expectation. They are responsible for achieving standards of service quality and productivity as set by the company.

    • Providing quality pest control/management service
    • Achieving standards of productivity as set by the company
    • Retention of existing clients
    • Complying with the Rentokil Codes of Practice: Rules of conduct.
    • Compile necessary documentation for client and office after service is completed
    • Advise client on housekeeping, stacking and proofing requirements
    • Comply with legislation and regulations
    • Ensure equipment is maintained and clean at all times
    • Carry an adequate range of pesticides and equipment, necessary to delivery service
    • Ensure the company vehicle and image is protected at all times
    • Ensure the usage of the correct Personal Protective Equipment
    • Ensure company and client Health & Safety requirements are met

    Requirements

    • Ability to identify customer needs and solutions

    • Must be presentable
    • Requires valid, unendorsed code 08 drivers licence
    • Highly developed communication skills (Written/Verbal/Non-verbal)

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Matric or equivalent certificate
    • 2- 5 years experience
    • Fully qualified (NCPC) or PMA/PCSIB and registered with Department of Agriculture (P-Number)
    • SKM 201 ( Specialised course)
    • Fumigation experience
    • Termite treatments
    • Sulfuryl Fluoride usage experience is an added advantage

To lead, coordinate, and develop a highly motivated team of individuals and teams to ensure that they provide world class service to our customers, and overall optimization of branch service performance whilst complying with all internal and external policy and legislative regulations.Preference will be given to suitable applicants in line with the Company Normalization Policy.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Deliver on the Branch’s / Company’s business goals.
    • Supervise a team of service colleagues to achieve agreed individual and (branch) team target
    • Ensure that individuals and the team are competent and fully trained to the professional level required
    • Maintaining accurate and adequate records
    • Participate in the support of training of the companies personnel – (service, sales and admin), as well as the customer personnel on technical matters and material (products and service)
    • Conduct regular In-Field Coaching sessions and when required, Identify competency gaps and address these with remedial action.

    • Customer Retention – actively participate in the business unit customer retention strategy, by personally conducting regular customer account reviews. In addition, ensuring that the service department and personnel respond to all service related customer enquiries in a prompt and appropriate manner, at all times.
    • Create and maintain an environment which meets local HS&E standards, regulations and requirements.
    • Ensure that only the correct and approved tools for the job are made available, issued, maintained and replaced as necessary for the entire service team
    • Ensure that only the correct and approved chemicals, from approved suppliers, are issued and used, in a safe and standard manner, in the rendering of quality service treatments on customer premises – in line with all Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Procedures.
    • Drive development of technicians to improve their qualifications. Manage and administer records accordingly.
    • Manage and maintain service data
    • Manage, including: stock, fleet, manpower, time, overtime and service costs in line with the business units agreed monthly / quarterly / annual forecast and targets.
    • Manage HR / IR matters
