    Finance Manager

    • An experienced Senior Accountant with SAICA/SAIPA articles and an AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) designation to take a step up into a leadership role. The successful individual will be a detail-oriented professional with a can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Accounts Department for the Financial Director, including 6 clerks and assist the Retail Financial Accountant
    • Oversee all financial aspects of the holding companies
    • Review all payments, wages and head office salaries for two companies
    • Pass journals, VAT recon, GL/payroll system recon, reconcile TB, prepare management
    • accounts, analyse and present to the directors
    • Prepare the annual budget
    • Evaluate risk vs cost with insurance broker and present to directors
    • Oversee COIDA, Employment Equity/SDL, EMP501’s/IRP5’s, CIPC submissions
    • Prepare management accounts and present to the directors
    • Review bank statements as a first task and address any unexplained movements
    • Fund the bank accounts for debit orders
    • Review contracts and present key pitfalls and risks to the FD
    • Modernise the accounts dept, develop electronic reports
    • Monitor slow debtors and push collections while maintaining good customer relationships
    • Manage the debtor cover insurance

    Requirements:

    • SAICA articles and AGA(SA) registered or SAIPA qualified accountant
    • Min 2-3 years post articles
    • Experience with Xero software (advantageous)
    • Proficiency in advanced Excel skills (vlookup, nested “IF” functions, sumif)

    FP&A Analyst

    About the role:

    • Assist in the development and maintenance of the company's financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
    • Analyse financial performance support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and other stakeholders.
    • Partner with the senior leadership team to understand their financial needs and provide support in budgeting and forecasting processes.
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial assistance and analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement, and assist the CFO with projects.
    • Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management and board meetings.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
    • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in financial planning and analysis.

    About you:

    • Currently completing SAICA articles and available to start in January/February 2025
    • Eager to learn, analyse and understand a businesses
    • Right attitude and confidence to independently approach and interact with Execs, Senior Managers and other staff 
    • Good level of financial acumen
    • Good Excel and Tech skills (Sage experience will be beneficial, but not essential)

    Tax Accountant

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packs
    • Assist with preparation of the annual financial statements for the Group of companies
    • Prepare regulatory submissions
    • Assist with variance analysis of key trends and review of balance sheets to parent company
    • Assist with preparation of the direct and indirect taxes calculations
    • Responsible for all withholding tax calculations and submissions for the RCS Group
    • Responsible for posting of the journals for taxation
    • Assist with ad hoc projects and requests from the Financial Reporting and Tax Manager
    • Monitor and stay informed of the latest changes in tax laws, regulations, and guidelines
    • Provide insights and recommendations to adapt processes and policies in response to evolving tax requirements 

    Requirements:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting
    • Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant Accounting and Tax experience
    • Exposure to month end reporting processes and preparation of annual financial statements
    • Proven analytical skills with experience working with large volumes of data
    • Proven track record with performing complex reconciliations
    • Retail or Financial Services industry experience (advantageous)
