    Handyman / Driver

    Job Purpose:

    • The role includes general building DIY and maintenance including basic carpentry, plumbing, repairs to equipment for all offices. The role also requires you to carry out general maintenance for 3 x buildings.
    • Location: Johannesburg, Sandton

    Key Performance Areas:

    Under the management / direction of the Office Manager, the handyman/Driver will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):

    • Maintenance work for all three Johannesburg buildings
    • Assist with moving of office furniture
    • General plumbing for all offices
    • Office furniture maintenance
    • Repairs on broken items/equipment/Appliances
    • Painting
    • Maintenance of Gutters and drains
    • Installation inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building fixtures and fittings
    • General plumbing including washers, taps, unblocking toilets
    • General carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, , assembling furniture, easing and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware
    • Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety
    • Carry out tasks within specified time limits
    • Regularly inspecting garden structures and undertaking minor repairs or advising Line Manager of any need to replace/rebuild
    • Collection and delivery of documents
    • General Driving

    Requirement:

    • A minimum of 7 years working experience as a Handyman.
    • Skills in general DIY and maintenance and general gardening including assessment, installation, repair and maintenance
    • Driver’s license
    • Good communication skills

    IT Support Technician

    Job Summary:

    • The Desktop Support Technician provides technical assistance to users throughout the organization, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The role involves diagnosing and resolving IT issues promptly while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a solid foundation in IT support practices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person – primary rule of engagement will be via a ticket.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
    • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
    • Assist with software installations, updates, and patch management.
    • Maintain IT asset inventory, ensuring accurate records of hardware and software.
    • Support remote users with VPN connectivity and other remote access tools.
    • Document IT support requests, solutions, and troubleshooting steps in a ticketing system.
    • Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
    • Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security guidelines, and best practices.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics and best practices.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in IT desktop support, help desk, or similar roles.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop support.
    • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
    • Familiarity with IT security best practices and endpoint protection tools.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Ability to prioritize and easily adapt in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must meet deadlines, accomplish tasks as agreed upon time structures
    • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft certifications are advantageous.
    • Knowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
    • Experience working in an ITIL-based service management environment.
    • Prior experience in an enterprise environment supporting 500+ users.

    Cashbook Administrator

    Job Purpose:

    • The Cashbook Administrator will be responsible to fulfil the full cashbook function for our group companies. The Cashbook Administrator will also be responsible for the loading of payments on multiple banking platforms. To upload and use multiple banking sites and work alongside treasury team and data team. To capture multiple bank accounts on accounting package
    • Location: Woodstock, Cape Town

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Under the management / direction of the Group Accountant, you will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):

    Cashbook function:

    • Accurate and Timeous upload of payments.
    • Accurate cashbook processing within set deadlines.
    • Reconcile Cashbooks in Accpac to bank statements.
    • Reconcile Trial Balance to Cashbook and Bank statements.
    • Addressing Cashbook queries.

    Banking:

    • Loading and checking payment instruction file
    • Loading of 3rd party payments and
    • All inter-company transfers.

    MININUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least 3 years' experience banking and cashbook processing.
    • Medium competency in MS Excel.
    • Accpac experience is advantage.
    • Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Proactive, responsive and deadline driven.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    COMPETENCIES EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Experience in using all the major banking platforms is advantageous.
    • Experience in capturing multiple cashbooks in an accounting package is advantageous.
    • Medium level of excel skills and data handling skill is required.
    • A level headed matured individual is required.
    • Cashbook processing experience is required.

    • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including and not limited to preparing employment contracts, generating HR reports, drafting and issuing relevant UIF documentation and assisting with the coordination of payroll information monthly

    Requirements:

    • A related tertiary qualification i.e. Certificate, Diploma of Degree in HR

    • Competent in MS Office at an Intermediate level
