    Executive Head: Record to Report VSA

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Executive Head (EHOD) of RTR is a key role within the Vodacom South Africa Finance Operations department.
    • Establishes and enforces compliance parameters by owning the governance of RTR-related Vodafone Group Standard Operating Procedures (“VGFOPS”) and Vodacom Group Policies, ensuring consistency, accuracy, transparency, excellence and compliance across all accounting functions
    • Develops overarching robust and streamlined data aggregation and reporting processes, supporting strategic decision-making with the focus on Digital Transformation within Finance Operations.
    • Collaborates closely with the Vodacom South Africa IFRS Compliance team to align accounting policy, judgement and application.
    • Ensure the timely and accurate financial reporting, enabling certification of Income Statements, Balance Sheet Reviews and other Financial Statements artefacts (Disclosures, Management Reports, etc.) under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Acts as a Business Partner for RTR policies and overarching accounting processes.
    • Provides leadership to the R2R team, setting strategic goals and objectives

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensuring accurate reporting of the month-end results up to Contribution Margin, as well as on Asset Accounting and consolidation entries
    • Review of non-core entities’ month-end submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Review of Statutory Pack reporting at interim and year-end relating to Accounts Receivable, Capital Commitments, Investments, Borrowings
    • Identify and highlight any risks and opportunities within the Balance Sheet
    • Ensure well-managed internal and external audits with audit adjustments below audit materiality.
    • Ensure SOX compliance
    • Supporting in C4 projects
    • Supporting the Finance teams within various Non-Core entities wrt best practice processes and automation
    • Building the Finops Record-to-report “brand” across teams outside of Finance
    • Supporting the Managing Executive on fey focus areas and projects within Finance Operations to drive process improvements
    • Create a culture of proactive continuous improvement of processes, systems and people
    • Develops robust pool of talents to step into leadership roles
    • Establishment of Digital transformation initiatives across Finance Operations

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Chartered Accountant (Essential)
    • +8 years’ experience
    • SAP and HFM experience (Desirable)
    • SOX, IFRS knowledge
    • Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of operational finance processes, finance operating models.
    • Project management (Desirable)

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • Leadership skills and experience in managing teams in a complex. dynamic operating environment
    • Competent in coaching & moderation and experienced in using agile work methods and tools
    • Track record of embracing diversity for better outcomes; skilled in building and steering diverse teams

    Property Administrator

    What you’ll do

    Role purpose:

    • To provide administrative support to MAST Estates Management by processing applicable documentation to ensure that rental and electricity consumption payments are made timeously and to liaise with landlords, electricity providers and other third parties to assist with enquiries.
    • Assisting to process lease/contract data for data migration.
    • Assisting in all administrative related duties.

    Who you are

    Key accountabilities and decision ownership : 

    • To prepare and reconcile data for data migration
    • To ensure that the relevant information from base station lease agreements is processed and maintained on the relevant tools e.g. SAP.
    • To liaise with landlords, municipalities and other third parties to ensure that rent – and electricity consumption payments are made timeously.
    • To liaise with landlords, municipalities and other third parties to ensure changes in lease agreements and other accounts are processed on the relevant tools e.g. SAP.
    • To ensure that all financial commitments are made or provided for in line with financial controls.
    • To create and maintain databases including landlord details, account details, etc.

    • SAP RE-FX (Essential)
    • Policies and procedures
    • A minimum of 3 years secretarial/office administration experience (Essential)
    • 2– 3 years contract administration experience (Desirable)
    • 2 – 3 years financial/budgeting experience (Desirable)

    Executive Head: Legal Affairs - Technology and Fixed Services

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Responsible for providing legal advice on a broad range of matters relating to Vodacom’s Technology and Fixed Services in a manner which fully protects Vodacom’s legal interests and addresses or mitigates associated risks. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for providing accurate, effective, and timely advice, analysis and support at an expert level on complex matters of significant, strategic value to Vodacom’s Technology & Fixed Services functional areas. 
    • Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts and legal documents relating to Technology & Fixed Services.
    • Negotiate complex transactions relating to Technology & Fixed Services and provide legal advice regarding these transactions to senior business stakeholders in a manner which fully protects Vodacom’s legal interests and address or mitigate the company’s risk exposure.
    • Provide guidance on how Vodacom can use technology to drive business growth while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
    • Keep business stakeholders updated and briefed on key projects and risk management within the regulatory space.
    • Ensure that all legal matters are reported and managed in accordance with company governance requirements and processes, delegation of authority, and Group Code of Conduct.
    • Actively participate in the broader Vodafone and Vodacom legal community to bring benefit from experience, expertise, and synergies to Vodacom.
    • Keep Managing Executive: Legal Affairs and/or Chief Legal Risk and Compliance Officer (as the case may be) informed /involved on major or complex issues.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • LLB Degree and admitted attorney with a minimum of 8 – 10 years post qualification experience.
    • Proven track record in providing strategic legal advice to clients in Technology and Fixed Services.
    • Prior experience working in Technology law practice and/or department within a major law firm or reputable corporate.
    • Fluency in English is mandatory.
    • Extensive commercial law, drafting and negotiation experience, with ability to provide timely and innovative legal solutions in a fast- moving industry.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, laws and regulations relating to Technology & Fixed Services, with a deep understanding of the unique legal challenges faced by communications companies.  
    • An in-depth understanding of Fixed Services as well as Technology in the communications industry (including but not limited to Network Engineering, Access & Transport Engineering and Network Management) and demonstrable wide-ranging commercial experience.  
    • A good understanding of technical solutions and tools, and general knowledge of the tech industry.
    • Tech-savviness and strategic foresight, developed through practice, to guide Vodacom effectively in an ever-evolving technological landscape.
    • Highly developed decision-making, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
    • Team player with strong negotiating/persuasive skills.
    • Strategic thinking, analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • A solutions-focused, engaging approach whilst maintaining a high degree of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
