    Tech Officer: Jnr Systems Engineer- Backup

    Core Description

    • Under general supervision, responsible for administration, maintenance and modification of Backup application and infrastructure. Operates closely with customer to determine requirements and resolve problems. Provides general technical consulting on backup systems to customers and field service engineers.

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Install, maintain, update, and administer Backup software.
    • Performs backup changes using Change management process and ensures all backups are properly run and completed within agreed backup windows
    • Diagnose Backup platform issues and troubleshoot Backup environment for optimal performance and resolve issues promptly.
    • System Administration of Windows / Linux / Backup Systems, Backup Appliances and Backup Storage.
    • Perform analysis of backup infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements to meet business need and future capacity.
    • Provide On-Call support for backup job failures, user restore needs, and tape, tape drive and tape vaulting issues
    • Design moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
    • Document all work including test results in accordance with agreed standards, methods, and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
    • Participates in technical exercises for disaster recovery to ensure high reliability and efficiency.
    • Timeously responds to instructions or follows agreed plans to successfully install or remove software, using supplied installation instructions and tools in alignment with agreed standards, including where appropriate those for electrical work

    Tech Officer: Junior Customer Engineer

    Core Description

    • To carry out the identification, logging, resolution and correct allocation of IT related incidents and requests. This is to be achieved in accordance with service quality and within the allocated timeframe to meet client expectations and Service Levels.

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Respond to telephonic, email and auto logged customer incidents and requests in accordance with defined processes, within service level agreements and time allocations.
    • Capture all customer interactions into the IT Service Management system.
    • Describe, classify, and assign tickets to the relevant support groups as per agreed process and templates

    Administrator: Project Support (FS)

    Core Description

    • The main purpose of this position is to assist the Project Lead/s with administrative responsibilities

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Logging and closing all installation incidents per project timeously.
    • Arranging for technicians and other vendors to be on site for installations within the specified time.
    • Following up with the inland and costal project managers that all installations are completed
    • Escalating all problems and concerns regarding open installations to the project Lead and customer
    • Getting and / or tracking approval from project managers for quotes that are submitted.

    Ops Specialist: Project Management

    Core Description

    • Involved in the execution of large IT projects in accordance with the specified and agreed upon scope, timeframe, budget, and quality requirements.  To provide guidance and support to junior project staff. 

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Provide input in project plans to determine scope and timeframes to ensure quality and successful project execution.  Produce detailed work plans with appropriate timelines, matching resources against project priorities.
    • Coordinate the delivery of multiple smaller projects to successful completion in accordance with scope, timeframe, and service level agreements.

    Administrator: Logistics & Warehousing

    Core Description

    • Responsible for providing administrative support to the Logistics and Warehousing team by assigning and processing the GR requests that are sent to the central mailbox.

    • Collaborating with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
    • Receiving shipments and signing paperwork upon receipt.
