    Senior Quantity Surveyor - Durban

    Description

    The Senior Quantity Surveyor manages and organises resources, people and finance to ensure projects are completed within defined time and/or budgetary constraints.  The incumbent ensures the successful overall commercial completion of a contract, including maximization of revenue, effective forecasting of project, cost calculations and reconciliations, including stringent cost controls, cost reporting and associated payment procedures.  The Senior QS ensures contractual rights and obligations are met (both from a main contracting as well as a subcontracting perspective) and manages, coaches and develops subordinates across the board.

    • Tertiary Degree / Diploma 

    Years of Experience

    • 7 Years + Technical Experience 
    • 2 Years + Managerial Experience

    Professional Registration and Statutory appointment

    Human Resources Manager

    Description

    We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to partner with our operations in the Gauteng region.  This opportunity will suit a human resources professional with a strong employee relations focus, demonstrated experience in working with a senior management team whilst working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

    This incumbent will be responsible for employee relations, talent acquisition, training & development, performance management, industrial relations and serve as the HR project champion for change management.

    We are looking for an incumbent with maturity, high levels of integrity, care and honesty.  An individual who is self-motivated, a Team-player and Team-builder who will integrate into the regional team and serve as the HR subject matter expert supporting the regions operations in a fair, but firm manner.

    Requirements

    Key Performance Areas 

    • Oversee and participate in the best practice implementation of all standardized Human Resources practices and processes.
    • Manage all payroll related activities for salaried staff
    • Coordinates HR projects, HR Portal administration, and reporting
    • Customer / Stakeholder Management
    • Leadership and People Management
    • Management of HR processes including Employment Equity, Performance Management, Training & Development, Industrial Relations, Employee Benefit administration, Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding

    Academic Qualification 

    • Tertiary Degree

    Professional Registration

    • SABPP (preference)

    • 10 Years + HR Management Experience
