    The suitable candidate will be managing a team of Banking Staff, ensuring Sales targets are met and managing the overall running of the branch in Acornhoek.

    Senior Manager Balance Sheet

    Job Description:

    • BSM with a focus on Balance sheet, capital and Asset Liability Management and play a key role in getting to optimizing the group balance and bank sheet from a financial, risk and legal perspective.
    • Close working relationship with regulatory reporting skills.
    • Coordinate ICAAP and Recovery Plan process

    Job Requirements:

    MINIMUM EDUCATION

    • B.Comm (Acc.) (Hons.)
    • Preferable additional qualification: Financial Markets Qualification

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years + in financial services
    • Direct exposure to Bank Treasury
    • Finance and accounting exposure in the banking environment

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    ICAAP and Recovery Plan

    • Coordinate annual production processes with support from Head BSM
    • Ensure SARB requirements and best practice as appropriate are met

    Dynamic ALM Forecasting and analysis

    • Work with Head of Regulatory and ALM reporting to develop further functionality FIS (previously SunGard) ALM Focus system, including
    • ALM
    • IRRBB/EVE
    • Dynamic forecasting

    ALCO Reporting

    • Monthly ALCO and related quarterly RCMC Reporting supervisory role, including
    • Balance Sheet and Capital Management
    • Liquidity and ALM
    • IRRBB and Interest Rate sensitivity, moving EVE in near future

    Stress Testing

    • Assist Group risk with further development of Stress testing framework related to Balance sheet risk
    • Ensure overall appropriateness of stress testing framework

    Capital

    • Support Head of BSM on capital forecasting and analysis, covering
    • Regulatory Capital
    • Economic Capital

    Strategic and project focus

    • Assist Head of BSM in strategic projects
    • Run BSM specific projects (e.g. FTP and capital allocation)

    People management

    • Manage cross departmental dependencies
    • Training and development
    • Deal with and address related issues and complaints

    Treating Customers Fairly and Compliance

    • Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance
    • Create understanding of the ‘real’ versus ‘perceived’ need through experience and expertise while complying with company policies, legislation and regulations
