Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Manager Quality Control and Governance and will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement OHS compliance standards for the site aligned with the Technical Support Services, Airport Operations, Infrastructure Asset Management and Airport Network strategies
- Monitor and ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, organisational standards, policies and procedures at network level, in particular OHSAct, Construction Regulations, ICAO and CAA
- Advising, and reporting to airport operations and management on procedural and legal requirements in respect of safety, health and environmental functions
- Plan and implement safety inspections and audits in line with the requirements for Safety Management System in accordance with ICAO and SACAA
- Plan, organise, lead and control subordinate's activities to ensure sub-functional objectives are met or exceeded.

- Convene and facilitate the safety committees and forums as well as participating in Civil Aviation Regulations Committees
- Investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents as well as the design and implementation of remedial actions.

Technical Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree (480 credits) in Safety or Compliance is essential.
- Minimum 6 years Occupational health, Safety or compliance operational experience is essential.
