    Analyst Programmer

    Job Description

    The key objectives of the Senior Analyst Programmer are to facilitate, develop and
    implement multi-disciplinary cross-functional data projects and to provide support to the business in respect of OMAI’s existing system/data capabilities. The role requires extensive involvement in all phases of the agile development lifecycle, from analysis and development through to testing and deployment.

    Key Result Areas

    Development

    • Partner with the OMAI investment business units and professional services teams to scope business requirements and identify where data can have the greatest impact from a BI perspective
    • Facilitate the development & implementation of multi-disciplinary cross-functional BI projects
    • Provide support to the business in respect of OMAI’s existing reports, developments, etc.
    • Effective planning and prioritising of multi-disciplinary cross-functional BI projects
    • Assist with solution design and implement best practices from a software development perspective
    • Keep stakeholders informed of progress through regular, effective communication
    • Develop, support, and maintain various reports using SQL, SSRS and PowerBI

    Technical Requirements

    • Create technical specifications

    Testing

    • Ensure unit testing is completed
    • Implement corrections and changes as required by the business units
    • Create automated testing processes

    Application Support

    • Ensure operational stability of applications by providing proactive and reactive first-line support for trading platform, DWH, etc.
    • Provide first line support and root cause analysis of production issues for all applications.

    Collaboration, Interaction and Stakeholder Management

    • Ability to manage relationships across all the Business and Functional areas.
    • Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships.
    • Collaborate with fellow developers and teams via code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.

    Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

    • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent.
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a development environment
    • Experience in Financial services business analysis and software development
    • Experience in T-SQL and SQL 2017 (or older), query construction, query optimisation
    • Experience in ETL development using tools like SSIS, InfoStore or any other.
    • Experience with C# .NET, Devops and agile development
    • Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack (Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services)
    • Experience with MS Technologies (Flows, Power Apps, Power BI, etc.)
    • eFront Front Invest knowledge would be an advantage
    • Exposure to Microsoft CRM Dynamics, SharePoint (advantage)

    Job Description

    A vacancy has arisen for a Communication Specialist within OMIG Marketing. The individual will be responsible for implementing the communications strategy across OMIG, with a special focus on written investments communication.

    Key Result Areas

    • Implement the OMIG communications strategy across various channels: clients, intermediaries, and media
    • Responsible for the quality of investment communications content with a special focus on written communication
    • End to end production of OMIG’s flagship publications, across all channels
    • Drive thought leadership across OMIG’s communications platforms
    • Helping to develop client communication strategies for OMIG funds
    • Ensuring that OMIG has quality material, to communicate effectively with clients, intermediaries and the media
    • Ensuring that a consistent OMIG language style is conveyed through all communications
    • Continually enhancing and upgrading our communications material
    • Ensuring brand adherence to the overall OMIG brand
    • Partnering with client teams to find innovative ways of communicating with OMIG clients

    Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required

    • A relevant tertiary qualification
    • A strong understanding of the investment management industry
    • An individual with at least 8 years of related experience
    • Ability to understand and simplify technical investment content for the relevant audience
    • Exceptional communication, editing and writing skills
    • Proven experience with investments communication
    • Ability to interact comfortably at all levels of the business
    • The ability to build relationships at a senior level internally within OMIG
    • The ability to be proactive, self-managed and able to prioritise a wide number of tasks to develop overall objectives
    • A team player with a collaborative, enthusiastic and supportive approach
    • The ability to work to tight deadlines
