    Design Draftsperson

    About the role
    We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Design Draughtsman to work in our South Africa head office in Rosebank. This role will be based will report to the Lead – Engineering & Assets.
    The primary purpose of this critical role is to prepare design specifications, drawings, and specification packages for the construction of fixed and mobile plant.
    A part of this role will be to champion the Design Quality Plan (DQP) in the drawing Management System and assists with managing the drafting workload and deliverables amongst drafting contractors as required.

    What you will be doing

    • Creating drawings for both mobile and Fixed Plant;
    • Preparing detailed construction drawings and specifications covering a variety of engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical, and electrical;
    • Maintaining a detailed knowledge concerning the functional requirements and design of fixed and mobile plants;
    • Assisting with managing drafting workflow, prioritisation, and resourcing and ensuring all drafting flows through DMS used currently by ORICA;
    • Ensuring that all designs produced comply with their basis of safety;
    • Conducting planning and contributing to briefs for design work;
    • Preparing concept layouts and designs for approval; 
    • Plant & Equipment Builds maintainability into designs;
    • Agreeing to  design output as part of scope and ensuring level of detail and design documents are the minimum required.

    What you will bring

    • Grade 12 Certificate;
    • N4 Qualification (Engineering field);
    • AutoCAD Certificated;
    • Relevant operational drawing/design experience (Mining industry preferred).

    Superintendent - Training

    About the role
    We are searching for a dedicated Superintendent Training who will be overseeing the regional training implementation. 
    The successful candidate will also ensure the development and sustainability of training within the region of responsibility, supports the region in the execution of the learning strategy and tactics, ensures training is delivered in accordance with external and internal requirements.
    The successful candidate will be based in our Rosebank office in Johannesburg with regular travels to our African operations. 

    What you will be doing

    • Overseeing the end-to-end approach of operational learning delivery across the CIS region ensuring training is delivered in line with both internal and external requirements;
    • Leading the regional operational learning delivery team to deliver fit-for-purpose learning programmes;
    • Overseeing and influences the implementation of standards for learning across sites;
    • Coordinating annual planning with SMEs for learning across sites which includes identifying vendors and locations;
    • Levers reporting and analytics to drive learning excellence including compliance and productivity;
    • Managing updates required with learning packages ensuring local / discrete changes and improvements are included;
    • Providing governance of systems, processes, and practices for all in-field training activities; 
    • Conducting quality assurance audits on training processes across the region;
    • Provision of training advice to TM & ABM functions including guidance on critical training requirements across the region;
    • Vendor management and scheduling of and for training delivery services across CIS region;
    • Engaging with international training Managers/SMEs developing a continual improvement process on current practises.

    What you will bring

    • Post graduate qualifications in frontline management (desirable) &/or 5+ years’ experience in delivery of enterprise-wide learning solution, Leading medium work groups;   
    • Experience with training management framework platforms;
    • Experience with electronic learning management systems;
    • Development and management of specialised training platforms;
    • Experience with Success Factors Learning module will be advantageous.
    • Proven ability to successfully build and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders;
    • Business savvy and organizational agility;
    • Ability to direct and influence stakeholders;
    • Ability to work within and design new administration processes.

    Specialist - Account

    About the role

    • The Specialist - Account provides specialist support for nominated customer accounts to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of products and services to customers including reporting on key metrics, providing analysis of commercial data, assisting in preparing presentations and proposals to customers, supporting key administrative functions (such as Letters of Offer, contracts, forecasting, etc.), leading specific process improvement initiatives.

    What you will be doing

    • Key Accountabilities Develops and maintains key commercial information in the area. Provides support for customer relationship for nominated accounts and ensure all Rise and Falls are implemented. Supports Account group/site negotiations Identifies and develops account growth opportunities where appropriate. Assists with generation of Pronto’s, Resource Models and Letters of Offer. Manages Debtor compliance on nominated accounts Investigates ‘disputed claims’ for invoicing non payment when required Co-ordinates and monitors of all forecasting (IE,HE and BULK) with in region Assists with GQOMS approval process and the raising of Expenditure Proposals. Maintains an overtime monitoring system for region and ensure that cost are invoiced to customers Regularly analyses key data, providing trend analysis and corrective actions Coordinates demurrage tracking and recovery process Manages regional coordination, support, analysis, reporting including but not limited to Monthly KPI reports, Sprint Team financials, Customer Reporting requirements Coordinates Statutory Compliance for Area Assists with development /update of customer Account Plans. Assists with preparation of Brad Meetings Leads product and service initiatives to achieve BBS and New Product goals Demonstrates variation management to capture additional revenue streams Maintains Operational Contract Summaries for Area Acts as SAP / system mentor for Area, ensuring effective use of systems, including direct training as required
