    Fashion Stylist Assistant

    The ideal candidate has a passion for fashion and beauty and producing trend-worthy styling concepts across fashion titles. If you understand that sweet spot when it comes to trends, pop culture and beautiful styling that meet brand objectives, we want to hear from you.

    Job Description:

    Key responsibilities:

    • Trend research and input at editorial brainstorm sessions.
    • The ability to follow a styling brief and follow the creative process of fashion magazines from concept through to end product.
    • Support Fashion Stylist to ensure all styling is consistent and on-brand.
    • Run pre & post-production duties with the stylist and photographer (includes garment sourcing, returns, location scouting, and castings).
    • Organize the coordination of the wardrobe and ensure that all the needed fashion and accessories are in place.
    • Assist stylist with models, garments and/or products on set.
    • Prep garments and accessories to ensure all items are photo-ready prior to photoshoots.
    • Maintain inventory of props and other styling tools.
    • Oversee handling of merchandise while in studio’s possession, ensuring it is received and returned in pristine, sellable condition.
    • Work with the on-set team including models, stylist, photographer, art director, and hair and makeup to deliver content that is on-brand.
    • Work closely with the stylist, art director, group editor and features editor on content strategies.
    • Work with the digital team to identify new ways to reach followers by creating engaging material. I.e. TikTok, Reels, BTS (Behind the Scenes) content.

    Key requirements:

    • A tertiary qualification in fashion design.
    • At least 1 years' experience as a fashion assistant or stylist
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Understanding of buying, production and general shoot industry.
    • A creative and innovative personality.
    • The ability to work under pressure and have lots of energy and drive.
    • Great organisational skills, deadline-driven and the ability to manage time well.
    • A self-starter who enjoys working in a team, but can work independently.
    • The ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
    • A keen interest in pop culture, urban trends and the fashion and lifestyle industries.
    • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

    HR Advisor

    • This purpose of this role is to support the implementation of HR people initiatives. This role will support the HR Business Partner in successful implementation and stakeholder engagement across the business with a data-driven mindset. The role would be generalist in nature and could encompass Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Talent, Reward and Talent Acquisition.

    Key responsibilities:

    • HR strategy: Provides operational support in communication, implementation and monitoring of HR strategy initiatives through research, analytical and reporting activities whilst working with the line managers where needed
    • HR Processes, standards and tools: Executes the defined HR processes, standards and tools in order to ensure the realisation of HR function objectives
    • Human Capital Effectiveness: Supports the monitoring of defined organisational, financial and HR metrics and development of recommendations regarding changes in the structure, roles, processes, competencies, staffing or workforce composition through research, analytical and reporting
    • Change Management: Supports any change management activities through preparation of communication, cultural considerations, data gathering, analytical and reporting
    • Career Development: Supports the line managers and the HRBPs in ensuring that the career plans are developed and implemented for employees
    • Performance Development. Supports the managers and the HR Business partners in driving an effective approach to performance development
    • Employee Engagement: Works on projects defined by HRBPs or HR Directors to mobilise commitment and accountability for employee engagement, support HRBPs, line leaders and employees in the area of employee engagement
    • Employee Relations: Works with managers to resolve less complex employee issues. Supports building of managerial people capability so that employee relations issues can be prevented
    • Business leaders support: Provides analytical support to HR Team and business partners in the area of HR management
    • HR Administration: Performs any HR administrative tasks that are not covered by the HR operations team

    Requirements:

    • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, etc
    • A Degree would be advantageous
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a HR department
    • Media agency work background is preferrable
    • Computer literate. Experience working on the Workday system is preferrable.

    Strategy – existing clients

    • Leverage data, insights, trends and brand knowledge to develop digital strategies, including but not limited to social media, websites, video, podcasts and email campaigns for assigned clients. Focus is largely on projects and to support provide to editors as and when required for always-on strategies (eg content planning)
    • Work closely with creative leads and account directors to bring innovative ideas to the table, identifying synergies and strategic opportunities for existing clients
    • Proactively look out for opportunities to improve the work and drive better results in a collaborative way
    • Build trust with clients, earning respect and trust by bringing trends, ideas and innovation to strategic input

    Strategy – new business

    • Support Leadership and Creative teams on new business pitches as required.

    Trends

    • Research, source and introduce new digital trends to DENTSU CREATIVE, with a particular focus on formats, platforms and content channels.
    • Create and distribute trend reports designed to educate and upskill staff and clients in their understanding of new platforms and techniques
    • Build out relationships with platform representatives in South Africa

    Reporting and Analytics

    • Review reports for assigned accounts, work with editors to refine reports and identify and implement insights and recommendations, ensuring that content is conintually optimized
    • Frequently review KPIs, ensuring that we meet, and exceed, objectives and show measurable ROI

    Team management

    • Manage junior strategists as required
    • Develop your team’s skills and processes required to deliver on digital strategy
    • Mentor group members, in addition to being able to help manage their projects on a day-to-day basis and motivate them to push their thinking
    • Mentor and grow interns within DENSTU CREATIVE, ensuring their path to completing their internship is challenging and rewarding with the view to retaining the majority of the interns within the business.

    GROWTH AND UPSKILLING

    •  A skills development plan will be built in consultation between the Managing Director, Content Strategy Director, Digital Content Manager and Digital Strategist to capture training and/or coaching requirements.
    • Where possible, exposure to the wider dentsu cross-agency business will be encouraged and facilitated.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience or internship in traffic management, project coordination, or a similar role is a plus.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
    • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) is preferred.
    • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
