Purpose of the job

• Ensure the availability, integrity, security, and optimal performance of data storage resources within the Mainframe environment.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Keep track of Storage resources such as DASD (Direct Access Storage Devices), Virtual Tape pools daily.
• Assist with Automation related requests, installations and configuration.
• Assist with all implementations, installations, configurations, monitoring, trouble shooting and evaluation of existing and new Storage resource software like Hierarchical Storage Manager (HSM) and 3rd party software to ensure functional operating system.
• Assist with end-user support, resolving technical issues and providing technical assistance for all Storage related customer queries
• Provide input into the units monthly and quarterly reports regarding mainframe usage.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 1 - 2-year National Certificate in Computer Science or Information Technology or Network Architecture or Computer Engineering. / NQF level 5 or accredited specialised courses.
• Certification: OEM/OSM Certification (e.g. Oracle, MCSE Data Platform, OCP Solaris, Redhat Linux or MCSE.
• Experience: 2-3 years’ experience or internship in computer science or information technology. Experience and exposure in the Data Centre environment will be an added advantage.

Purpose of the job

• To manage and provide technical support, installation, customisation, configuration, administration and maintenance of various system software products as well as ensure a secure and stable environment for the users of IBM z/OS communications server.

Key Responsibility Areas

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3-year National Higher Diploma / National First Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ NQF level 6 or a verified / certified alternative equivalent NQF Level 6 with the equivalent credits of a National Qualification + specialized or management certificate of competence.
• Experience: 6 - 7 years’ system programming experience with management responsibility on relevant IBM z/OS communications server in a large corporate or public sector. Experience in the implementation of ICT solutions specifically within the relevant IBM z/OS communications server environment.

Purpose of the job

• To help programs and or projects to develop and maintain the design of cloud services within the Government Private Cloud Ecosystem.
• This will include assisting in analysing of User Requirements, the design of cloud products and services and the management of related business architectures, business requirements, business modelling and product development lifecycle in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Assist with clients (Govt Departments) management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of
• Digital Transformation changes to improve interoperability of government systems and quality of services and deliverables including adoption of cloud principles.
• Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through Digital Transformation Technologies/Platforms; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new services and/or operational changes.
• Deliver services according to project plans and architectural and governance mechanisms to ensure overall compliance and improved service delivery.
• Conduct business requirements analysis and design Cloud Services, taking into consideration SITA’s GPCE cloud product offering and achieving this in accordance with Business Take on Framework (BTOF) defined processes.
• Model Target Business Solution Specification in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government
• Support Target Business Solution Specification in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government
• Manage client’s expectations, to ensure that Cloud solutions meet client needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3-year Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent/NQF level 6 with 360 credits.
• Certifications: ITIL foundation, TOGAF, AWS, CCNE Cloud certification Cloud Platform and Infrastructure will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in business analysis, business process management and business process engineering/reengineering. Including experience in business modelling. experience in business architecture.
• Experience in IT products design and/or analysis of IT Systems Operations / Management; Database architecture and/or Virtualization; IP Networking; Storage; IT Security; Experience with working with operational teams to ensure a supportable architecture/solution.

• To manage simple SITA internal/external project(s) following the SITA project management methodology, within ITI Hosting Cloud service/product/customer Line of Business under the supervision of a Programme Manager.

Key Responsibility Areas
