    Client Administrator (SSI)

    Purpose

    Responsibilities

    • Receive trade instructions from client engagement team, match the trade with the counterparty and ensure trades are settled correctly
    • Load and maintain Standard Settlement Instructions, or SSIs, which include loading and deactivating of SSIs, amending counterparty details on existing SSIs, excluding bank details, and deactivating dormant SSIs on Calypso or the related systems
    • Seek out regular performance feedback and put actions in place to improve and enhance performance

    Client Structurer

    Purpose

    • The candidate will be responsible for the origination and sale of complex derivative and financial instruments in Broader Africa by keeping abreast of developments in the financial markets in which we operate in broader Africa and developing and enhancing relationships with our clients in these jurisdictions through the excellence of the service provided. It will involve originating risk management opportunities, financing opportunities and investment products for clients across jurisdictions in Broader Africa, across client bases and asset classes. The role requires the design and hedging of complex derivatives and financial instruments by keeping abreast of developments in financial markets, financial mathematics, accounting standards, legislation and statutory requirements This role will ensure that the structures designed balance out client needs, profitability and prudent risk management.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Minimum Post-graduate Qualification in a Finance including Accounting or Law majors
    • CFA / Trading and Regulatory exams / Tax Diplomas (advantageous)
    • Minimum 8 years working experience in financial markets

    Executive Assistant

    Purpose

    • In partnership with the co-heads of Corporate Finance and the leadership teams in the business, drive the growth of CFD by assisting to shape and deliver on the CFD strategy and vision; project manage various key strategic initiatives; and ensure delivery of the key objectives of the co-heads of CFD.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Relevant post-graduate degree with 3 -5 years’ financial services, preferably banking experience.

    • Cut to the core of a vast volume of information and prioritize what is relevant to understanding specific issues and trends in the broader environment; know who to contact for specific information

    Administrative:

    • Work with the PA’s in CFD to schedule CFD Exco and other relevant meetings
    • Project managing CFD Exco meeting preparation and creation of relevant meeting materials; capturing key output / next steps and tracking the completion of these
    • Coordinating calendars
    • Planning and executing CFD’s business forum, strategy sessions and offsites
    • Working with CFD PA’s and other team members to plan weekends away and social events for CFD
    • Coordination of CFD’s contribution to the annual Conference including award nominations
    • Assume overall responsibility for managing CFD’s workbench data, working with the relevant team members in CFD
    • Co-ordination / execution of relevant reports, presentations, speeches and other written material :
    • Handle documentation that requires the attention of the co-heads of CFD and prepare reports on various matters
    • Write / co-ordinate strategy documents, presentation material, speeches, briefing documents, minutes of meetings, business emails, award submissions to various publications and other relevant documentation as required
    • Monitor CFD market share in M& A, general corporate finance and equity capital markets with various providers

    Operational and technical support:

    • Keep the co-heads of CFD informed of various activities within and outside the Group
    • Analyse, review and/or assist with issues of an operational or technical nature
    • Follow-up on assignments / tasks delegated by the Head of IBD
