Role Purpose:
The main purpose of this role would be to monitor and evaluate compliance within the business as well as develop risk management plans. You would also identify and report on potential or actual non-compliance, including breaches and risks (including actually or potentially unusual transactions). This position encompasses implementation and development of non-conformity, corrective and preventative actions.
As such, the successful applicant would need to possess functional knowledge & understanding of appropriate regulations, policies and/or practices, as well as the technical competency and expertise in compliance. - Tertiary degree in LLB, BComm Law or similar

Reporting to the Product Team Lead
Responsibilities:
- To analyse and understand project scope and core objectives
- Lead requirements elicitation workshops with stakeholders to define high level business requirements
- Assist stakeholders to prioritise the requirements
- Plan and lead workshops with stakeholders and technical resources to elicit detailed, low level functional requirements
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break down high-level information into their constituent details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs.
- Collaborate with technical lead and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with project team to analyse information needs and functional requirements to deliver the following artefacts as needed:
- Business/functional requirement specification
- Wireframes
- Workflow / process flow diagrams
- Data Model/s
- Obtain sign-off on the specifications
- Be proactive in ensuring that the development and QA teams understand the requirements by attending daily team meetings and initiating functional clarification sessions where needed.
- Setting timelines, driving project schedules and leading cross-functional development teams from design through to release.
- Be the liaison between the business and the engineering team.
- Project manage the implementation of selected project initiatives.
- Review the test plan and test scripts to ensure quality and coverage.
- Performing user acceptance testing.

We are currently recruiting for a talented Senior Front-End Developer for our Johannesburg
location. Reporting to the Dev Manager, you will have strong front-end skills (Javascript and
Angular) to lead software projects for the company across various software tracks.
Function
- Take ownership and responsibility for front-end deliverables on projects, which includes
- responsibility for quality and timely delivery.
- Assist in defining coding standards.
- Test-driven approaches.
- Drive efficiencies across the FE stack.
- Assist development guilds.
- Speaking into, with guidance from the Development Manager - hiring, career planning,
- training and development, team mentorship (interns, junior and mid-level developers)
- and morale management.
- Assist in estimations of scoped projects, guide the discussions around sufficient
- requirements to support the SDLC.
Skills
- A solid understanding of Javascript ES6 or ES7, Angular.js, HTML, CSS, SASS,
- Webpack, Bootstrap. {Reactjs would be advantageous)
- Any experience with TDD would be an advantage.

- Git workflow with good code review practice.

- Experience in the FinTech / FinServe industry is highly advantageous.
- A comprehensive and holistic understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Proven track record of mentoring interns, junior and mid-level developers.
- Experience in defining development processes and structures.
- A high level of attention to detail and great organizational abilities are a prerequisite to
