    Main tasks

    • Achieving the faculty’s strategic goals and operational targets.
    • Managing human, financial, physical and other resources.
    • Managing change
    • Managing and overseeing quality and standards.
    • Planning, organising and decision-making.

    • Participating in the development and management of the university’s strategic plan

    Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience       

    • PhD or equivalent qualification in a field relating to the disciplinary areas of the faculty
    • Should have obtained at least the rank of associate professor
    • A substantial track record of academic achievement and excellence in a disciplinary area of the faculty.
    • Evidence of strong academic leadership in teaching, research and engagement.
    • Evidence at least five (5) years’ leadership and management experience at middle and/or senior management level in higher education.
    • Proven experience of delivery against organisational and individual objectives.
    • Proven experience of generating third-stream income.
    • Experience of motivating and inspiring teams in delivering objectives.

    Desired Qualification/ Knowledge And/ Or Experience        

    • Should have attained the rank of professor.
    • Evidence of at least eight (8) years’ leadership and management experience at middle and/or senior management level in higher education.
    • Professional registration to the relevant professional body, where applicable.

    4556 Senior Talent Management Specialist (P7)

    Main tasks

    • Provide support in the implementation and monitoring of talent management processes
    • Provide support with regard to Organisational Development (OD), Skills Development (SD), talent and performance management
    • Maintain accurate records for OD-, SD-, talent-and performance management processes and interventions
    • Liaise with stakeholders regarding Talent Management, OD, Training & Development, Performance Management intervention

    Main tasks

    Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience

    • A BCom with Supply Chain Management/ Procurement/ B.Accounting or equivalent.
    • Five (5) years of related experience in Procurement/ Finance/ Supply Chain Management of which 2 years should be on management level.
    • Experience in accounts management, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial reporting, and audit compliance.
    • Experience working with startups or commercialising University IP.

    Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience

    To be appointed as Lecturer:

    • A relevant Master’s-level degree (i.e. M Tech / Masters / NQF 9 or equivalent)
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) registered with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) (SA)
    • At least two years’ teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the subject field(s)

    To be appointed as Senior Lecturer:

    • A relevant Doctorate level degree (i.e. D Tech / PhD/ NQF 10 or equivalent) and a
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) registered with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) (SA)
    • At least four years’ teaching / lecturing experience in the relevant subject field
    • Evidence of research output, post-graduate supervision and presentations at national and international conference in line with CUT’s promotion requirements which requires:
    • 1.5 credit outputs (books, chapters in books, articles in accredited journals, papers published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings, patents, etc.)
    • Two completed master’s degrees as co-supervisor; or one completed master’s degree as supervisor. (Not applicable if the applicant already has a minimum of 2.0 publication, research or innovation credit outputs at Lecturer level).

    Desired Qualification, Knowledge And/Or Experience

    To be appointed as Lecturer:

    • Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) with the Institute of Internal Auditors
    • (IIA) (SA).
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with the Information Systems Audit and
    • Control Association (ISACA).
    • Proficient in Arbutus Analytics.
    • Evidence of progress towards a Masters degree.
    • Any acknowledged publication, research, innovation or creative output.

    To be appointed as Senior Lecturer:
