    Stock Controller

    Job Description

    • Nurture Health is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our rehabilitation hospital team. Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you will ensure the effective management of ward stock through accurate stock control processes, collaboration with clinical teams, and adherence to established systems and standards. Your work will directly support safe, efficient patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage ward stock in accordance with Nurture's stock policies, procedures, and automated systems, ensuring accurate stock availability and control.
    • Collaborate with nursing teams and key stakeholders, communicate stock-related information effectively, and report on daily activities and outcomes.
    • Represent the hospital professionally when required and actively participate in learning and development initiatives to continuously improve stock management practices.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 with proven experience in stock control or administrative support within a private healthcare environment using electronic health records.
    • Strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to plan and adapt daily activities, and DigComp Level 3 digital competence in information management, communication, safety, and problem-solving.
    • A passion for operational excellence, commitment to the SAPICS professional values, and the ability to work collaboratively while maintaining high professional standards.

    Occupational Therapist

    Job Description

    • Nurture Health is seeking a passionate and patient-centred Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Therapy Manager, you will help patients relearn or adapt everyday activities to improve independence, participation, and quality of life. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services and meaningful patient outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess patients’ functional participation and develop, implement, and monitor individualised occupational therapy treatment plans to improve independence and rehabilitation outcomes.
    • Deliver interventions including ADL retraining, neurorehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation, splinting, wheelchair seating, vocational rehabilitation, and the prescription of assistive devices and equipment.
    • Conduct home and workplace assessments, provide caregiver and patient education, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on patient-centred goals, and maintain accurate clinical documentation and billing records.

    Requirements

    • Registered with the HPCSA Board for Occupational Therapy, Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics, and Arts Therapy in the category Independent Practice.
    • Proven experience in physical rehabilitation, with strong clinical reasoning, holistic functional assessment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
    • Sound knowledge of the Health Professions Act, Occupational Therapy Scope of Practice Regulations, HPCSA and OTASA guidelines, with a commitment to professionalism, empathy, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
