    Apprenticeship Millwright - Vereeniging

    What will you be doing:

    • This apprenticeship programme spans over a 3-year period and is a great opportunity for a young person who is motivated by self development, together with commitment and drive towards learning.
    •  The programme consists of theoretical learning (at an accredited learning centre) and practical application training on the job weekends and public holidays)
    • During the practical application phases, you will work under the guidance of a qualified Artisan to gain experience and convert your theoretical learning into practical understanding and application. 

    Qualification Requirements

    N2, with four (4) subjects relevant to the trade:

    • Engineering mathematics
    • Engineering science
    • Electrical (advantageous)
    • Mechanical
    • Mechanical and electrical drawings
    • Matric

    Advantageous:

    • N3 qualification

    Experience Requirements

    • Some relevent work experience (Advantageous)

    General Worker Scaler

    Key Responsibilities

    • Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in line with the company’s objectives and policies at all times with everyone in the department. No short cuts allowed.
    • Locates and retrieves materials as listed on the Recipe List
    • Assist in lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads as required +-25kg
    • Weigh multiple ingredients or chemicals to ensure they are portioned correctly and meet safe usage requirements.
    • Weighs, labels, packages, and palletizes materials by batch as listed on the Recipe List.
    • Record weight and supply of each item accurately, quickly and clearly, taking care not to make mistakes or cause misunderstandings
    • Checks scale performance to ensure reliability and accuracy.
    • Report when a certain item is depleted
    • Always maintains neat and accurate records and clean and organized work areas.
    • Transfers materials between locations.
    • Completes and verifies records to document all work.

    • 1 years’ experience as a packing operator
