    Principal Survey Assistant

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • 10 years’ experience working with Surveyors
    • Able to read maps and plans
    • Job Training courses such as in-house Survey, safety, first aid awareness

    Primary Duties

    • Locating of underground services with the electronic pipe locator.
    • To perform basic survey such as levelling and using GPS under the supervisor of a surveyor.
    • To assist the Surveyors to undertake field surveys
    • Measuring on site using tape/Total Station or GPS
    • Installation of beacons to mark the position of the pipeline and servitude.
    • Vehicle and equipment maintenance.
    • Doing daily roll call
    • Driving

    Group Reporting Accountant

    Minimum Requirements

    • A Degree in Accounting or Finance (NQF 7)
    • Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
    • Professional registration (e.g., CA(SA), PA(SA)) is an advantage
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Financial Reporting environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

    Budgeting and Expenditure Monitoring

    • Participate in budgeting processes and monitor performance against the budget.

    Audit Management and Assurance Support

    • Lead audit readiness initiatives and support both internal and external audits.

    Strategic and Operational Reporting Projects

    Senior Water Quality Technician

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum Qualifications: Three-years tertiary qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering or water care.
    • Desired Qualifications: Four-years tertiary qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering or water care.
    • Managerial / Supervisory qualifications e.g. Certificate of Supervisory Management
    • Four years’ experience in a water analysis laboratory,
    • Six years’ industrial experience
    • One-year experience in a supervisory capacity.
    • Knowledge and experience in ISO systems and ISO Procedure Writing
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint and SAP)

    Primary Duties

    • Compile and manage the contract schedule and procurement plan for each bulk chemical.
    • Preparation of technical specifications and evaluation criteria for all bulk treatment chemical bids in line with operational requirements, SHERQ policies, legal stipulations, ISO and SANS standards.
    • Manage bulk chemical contracts by monitoring and capturing contract expenditure for each chemical (i.e. spending, quantity and rates analysis report).
    • Ensure the availability of relevant contractual agreements on the contract management system.
    • Develop and manage a backup contract document database for all contracts to facilitate workflow.
    • Participate in the execution of sourcing and testing alternate cost-effective products.
    • Implement and manage comprehensive supply risk mitigation strategy for each bulk treatment chemical to ensure that control measures are in place to mitigate quality and quantity risks.
    • Liaison link between bulk chemical suppliers and Rand Water sites to resolve challenges and delays associated with pricing, invoicing and payment issues.
    • Develop and manage the chemical contract communication matrix to facilitate contract management.
    • Participate in drafting of the chemical budget
    • Compile and communicate monthly and quarterly chemical variance reports.
    • Managing water quality data from sites by trending, identifying and reporting areas of concern or non-compliance to specifications that may have long term effects on Rand Water’s infrastructure.
    • Attend and take minutes of any Rand Water technical meetings (as required) and all supplier liaison meetings, ensuring accurate records of any discussions and actions.

    Secretary (Water Cycle Management)

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or equivalent with a secretarial/public administration/office management diploma
    • An advanced secretarial diploma or a recognized qualification in public relations/administration will serve as an added advantage
    • 5-10 years of Senior Secretarial / Personnel Assistant experience
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test
    • Experience in working with the National Departments and LocaI Government.

    Primary Duties

    • Handle administrative tasks and correspondence i.e., letters and memos, as delegated and requested by the Manager: Water Cycle Management. Follow up on outstanding issues on behalf of the Manager: Water Cycle.  Pass on messages and task requests as instructed, to the relevant personnel.
    • Obtain approval signature from the Manager: Water Cycle Management on relevant documentation and forward to the originator.
    • Set up and/or receive appointments, meetings, and function dates on behalf of the Manager: Water Cycle Management.
    • Ensure the smooth running of Water Cycle Management’s administration work i.e., correspondence and general office administration
    • Support Water Cycle Management staff in meeting agreed requirements and administration

    Pipelines Engineer Operations

    Minimum Requirements

    • Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree (NQF 7) or equivalent Engineering Degree or (National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with GCC Factories)

    Senior Mechanical Engineering

    Minimum Requirements
