    Senior Clerk: Performance Management (Contract Management) Supply Chain Management REF: FS/SCM/TCA/06

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 with accounting
    • Computer literate, including spreadsheets (Excel, MS Word)
    • 18 months relevant experience

    Other Requirements:

    • Good interpretation skills and ability to complete high-volume work under pressure
    • Must maintain and reflect the highest level of ethical and moral values (SCM)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Language proficiency in at least two of the three Western Cape official languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa)
    • Strong analytical/numerical skills and attention to detail

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with completion of the contract register for the municipality with all SCM contracts
    • Verification of tender decisions and rates and submission to supervisor
    • Update of the identified contracts on the contract register
    • Assist with relevant information to be included in the Annual Financial Statements, including capital commitments
    • Maintain adequate records (paper and/or electronic) in sufficient detail on an appropriate contract file to provide an audit trail
    • Distribution of orders to relevant officials
    • Process orders within the timeframes set and regulated by the Standard Operating Procedure

    Operator: Grass Cutting REF: CP/CS/PC/PPTW/31

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 8
    • Must have a minimum of 12 months brush cutting, grass mowing, and kudu experience with a relevant qualification
    • Must produce a valid brush cutter/kudu certificate

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be able to work in all weather conditions

    Meter Reader REF: FS/RE/REV/CAV/MRTB/23

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Valid Code B Driver's Licence
    • 1-year relevant experience

    Other Requirements:

    • Proven ability to function under work- and time pressure
    • Computer literate
    • Good health and attendance record
    • Good interpersonal relations

    • Open and clean restricted meters due to rubble, water, etc.
    • Perform administrative duties related to the section
    • Maintain and safeguard allocated Council vehicle and tools/equipment

    GIS Technician REF: PED/DP/GS/02

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Tertiary Qualification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field
    • 1-3 years relevant experience
    • Valid Code B Driving License

    Other Requirements:

    • Results-driven, team player with a customer-focused approach
    • Knowledge of geomatics principles and ability to apply this knowledge
    • Ability to communicate well at all levels (both written and verbal)
    • Positive attitude
    • Ability to plan and organize workloads effectively to enhance performance

    • High level of computer literacy, specifically in GIS system applications

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Obtain and extract data from specific sources, such as spreadsheets and databases
    • Check data for errors as it is entered
    • Formalize and enhance templates
    • Manage the central repository and documents
    • Demonstrate knowledge of capture methods for primary spatial data
    • Develop a basic understanding of GIS data structures for data acquisition
    • Understand elements contributing to data quality and metadata
    • Capture geo-information from secondary data sources
    • Demonstrate knowledge of sources for spatial data
    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of GPS data
    • Capture data with GPS for GIS
    • Understand computer database management systems
    • Develop simple SQL queries
    • Understand principles of spatial data in databases
    • Create simple databases (e.g., file geodatabases)
    • Understand various spatial data formats and attribute data types
    • Complete an original, basic GIS project under supervision
    • Apply basic GIS software functions
    • Perform basic spatial and hybrid queries under supervision
    • Understand basic concepts and theory of networks
    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of spatial modeling in GISc
    • Understand concepts of cartographic modeling
