    Storeman FTC

    Job Objectives:

    • Receive and unpack the parts from the containers.
    • Linefeed the unpacked material according to various stages/PA.
    • Inform the TL of any deviations while doing the unpacking of parts from cases.
    • Carry out 5S and Housekeeping standards in your area.
    • Adheres to safe working practices at all times.
    • To carry out other tasks as requested from time to time.
    • Participate and contribute in all other Logistics related activities.
    • From time to time you may be requested to work overtime.

    Qualification & Job Experience

    • Matric / Grade 12. Tertiary education is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft excel MS office & SAP will be advantageous.
    • Relevant or similar experience from the automotive industry will have an added advantage.

    Diesel Technician

    Job Objectives:

    • Fault-finding and diagnosis on Volvo Products by interpreting product “under performance” and/or failure.
    • Interpret and implement information in Volvo Manual and Service Literature.
    • By following directives provided in Workshop Manuals, produce work of Volvo acceptable standards.
    • Follow repair, maintenance instructions and specifications as per the manual.
    • Ensure excellence in customer service delivery through meticulously following procedures/processes.
    • Provide comprehensive and accurate reports on diagnosis, assessment of component/part, failures, observations, actions and recommendations.
    • Follow procedures for breakdown work:
    • Liaise with driver before responding to customer breakdowns;
    • Ensure the correct documentation is in place and accurately completed before submission.
    • Compliance to ISO 9001 and other Safety standards.

    Qualification & Job Experience

    • Matric/N3.
    • Trade Test Certificate - Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
    • 3 years Dealership experience in maintenance and repairs of heavy commercial vehicles.

    Service Administrator

    Job Objectives:

    • Ensure that Warranty and Maintenance claims are submitted timeously in accordance with the warranty binder and maintenance procedures. 
    • Ensure zero rejection rate. 
    • Ensure parts are disposed of in accordance with directives and policies. 
    • Ensure that all parts in the claim store is clearly marked according to relevant procedures. 
    • Ensure the accuracy and back-up of all relevant documentation including but not limited to job cards e.g. photos, protocols, defect reports, sublet invoices etc. 
    • Ensure jobs are costed within VST parameters. 
    • Make sure all sublet invoices are loaded on job cards and forwarded to finance for payment. 
    • All job cards must be signed off by the Line Manager. 

    Opening and processing of job cards for repairs, maintenance and servicing. 

    • Ensure information on job card received from workshop include all relevant information e.g. registration number, chassis number, kilometre reading etc.
    • Recording service type, e.g. basic, annual etc.
    • Record any other faults e.g. brake lights not working, vehicle overheating, etc.
    • Transferring all relevant information onto job card on computer.
    • Carry out credit checks.
    • Ensure that job card is allocated to correct account i.e. customer, warranty, maintenance contract.
    • Ensure that job cards are signed by Driver/owner or relevant responsible person. 

    Outwork/sublet orders. 

    • Ensure that daily WIP controls are in place and that regular follow ups are done with workshop team leaders to ensure continuous flow of process. 
    • Ensure job card has been completed as required with all relevant information, i.e. date, work carried out, time started, time finished, total time worked, VST, cause of failure, etc. 
    • Ensure that owner or relevant person sign acceptance of work and/or parts fitted. 
    • Ensure job is signed off by relevant Technician, the Team Leader and the Service Manager before closure. 

    Job Costing.

    • Enter brief description of work done and any notes made by the Workshop Manager.
    • Enter parts used.
    • Enter labour according to VST codes.
    • Enter outwork.
    • In case of breakdowns enter travelling time and call out fee.
    • Enter sundries and consumables.
    • Print invoice and ensure it is handed to the Workshop Manager to sign off and ensure order numbers are in place.
    • Hand over to administrative assistant.
    • Upon final confirmation of payment received issue gate pass to driver. 

    Qualification & Work Experience:  

    • Matric / N3 or equivalent.
    • Computer Skills.
    • SAP/GDS Fusion.
    • Strong administrative background.
    • Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.

    Auto Electrician

    Job Objectives:

    • Fault tracing and diagnosis on Volvo Products.
    • Apply knowledge and experience to interpret symptoms of “under performance” or failure of components.
    • Follow directives provided in Workshop Manuals.
    • Interpret Volvo manuals, specifications, directives and instructions.
    • Produce work of acceptable standards as per instructions/directives.
    • Produce and maintain work of acceptable standard.
    • Follow repair and maintenance instructions and specifications provided in Manual and Service Literature.
    •  Follow procedures/processes to ensure vehicles/components are presented to customers in acceptable condition.
    • Provide comprehensive and accurate reports of diagnosis, assessment of component/part failures, observations, actions and recommendations.
    • Document observations, actions, recommendations and job cards and relevant service/information sheets.
    • Follow Instructions from Management and supervisors concerning work allocated and produce and maintain work of a Volvo standard.
    • Carry out work allocated i.e. job cards.
    • Carry out the work allocated to the Volvo standard and specifications.
    • On completion of the work completed the Job cards.

    When completing the job cards the following will be looked at:

    • Complaint.
    • Cause.
    • Correction.
    • Complete QC documentation.
    • Complete servicing schedules.
    • Parts invoicing.
    • Vehicle standard times.
    • Complete the job cards in such a manner so as that the service advisor can interpret the information correctly.
    • Hours worked are reflection of the job card.
    • Ensure that House keeping is maintained to the Volvo standard and the management requirement.
    • All tooling is maintained.
    • Work area is as required by management and the Volvo prescription.
    • Store the equipment as prescribed by management.
    • Assist when mechanical repairs are required.
    • When there is insufficient auto electrical work assist in mechanical repairs as when requested by the supervisor.
    • Compliance to ISO 9001 and Safety.
    • All process in your area of responsibility are following ISO standard.
    • Ensure the safety process are followed.
    • Ensure the Safety Act and Regulation is adhered to.

    Qualification & Job Experience

    • Matric/N3.
    • Qualified Auto Electrician.
    • Health and safety training courses.
    • 3 years in maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles.
    • Volvo Experience - will be an advantage

    Bus Dev Manager Parts & Aftermarket

    Job Objectives

    Strategic:

    • To increase the B2B (Business to Business) sales including service contracts, meet or exceeding parts sales annual budgets and self-initiated special offers through Dealers & OEMs.
    • Assist the Volvo Penta Dealer Network in maintaining an efficient and relevant Network in compliance with the Volvo Penta Dealer Operating Standard applicable.
    • Manage and maintain an efficient Parts Inventory and Pricing strategy in conjunction with RDC (Regional Distribution Centre) through active liaison, both local and regional, in line with Business plan objectives.

    Operational:

    • To ensure that Technical problems are resolved within set time frames.
    • Act as a first line contact and assist the Volvo Penta Dealer Network in maintaining an efficient and relevant Network.
    • To effectively liaise between Volvo Penta industrial and marine business units, Volvo Group SA Head Office and the Dealer Network to ensure delivery on customer expectation.
    • Drive and monitor the development of dealers & OEMs, supporting them with necessary initiatives (competence, audits, surveys, etc) to ensure sustainable growth and performance with business plan objectives.
    • Lead and support the Dealers/ OEMs to achieve profitability as per Business plan Objectives.
    • Sell benefits of genuine parts and explain the technical differences between products vs. solutions.
    • Key Account Management (Fleet Customers) – Drive Push Pull Activity with Dealers.
    • Conduct customer engagement activities in collaboration with Dealers & OEMs.
    • Conduct regular visits to dealer network sites and fleet customers where required.
    • Monthly Performance review with RDC to ensure desired parts availability as per KPI target in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and Drive aftersales sales campaigns.Deliver on the Key performance areas and strategic objectives, translating business objectives into actions.
    • Adhere to Volvo Penta processes and seek improvement of same through a methodical approach to find solutions to ensure business is profitable.
    • Collate, analyse and report information to management.

    Job Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in Industrial Market & Understand Diesel Engine Function.
    • Validated Experience in defining and driving Aftermarket Sales Campaign for B2B & Retail sales channel.
    • Validated Key Account Management Experience.

    Education:

    • Grade 12 (Essential).
    • Tertiary Qualification in Business management (Preferable).
    • Tertiary Technical Qualification (Desirable).
