KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organise, plan and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously for effective implementation and project tracking. Conduct site investigations, verify existing services, and determine further investigations required to develop design solution. Gather information from GIS, IMQS and Operations. - Manage and ensure scheduling, installation, repair, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment at various Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW), in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and SANS codes of practice.
- The duties include, but not limited to, classifying mechanical equipment based on its criticality, overseeing first-line maintenance, and ensuring that outsourced mechanical repairs meet the required quality standards.
- The role involves conducting investigations into mechanical operating methods and, with approval from the Maintenance Manager, implementing system upgrades or modifications to improve performance.
- Review and update mechanical drawings following plant upgrades. Manage staff in accordance with HR policies and identify training and development needs in line with Johannesburg Water’s skills development plan.
